In the manga Ichigo didn't use Bankai for those hollows, they did it here to show us the new animation and yes, the animation stays like that all episodes.

That Quincy at the beginning wasn't Ishida, but what he did was somewhat of a callback to when we first met Ishida. He used Hollow bait, which is why there were so many Hollows. Theres not a lot of censorship in TYBW and theres also a lot of color corrections (Like Ichigo's spiritual pressure and getsuga being yellow in Shikai and Black in Bankai.) FYI always check for post credit scenes. The normal opening for season 1 has spoilers, but as you saw the opening for episode 1 was a tribute to returning fans, also the ending is spoiler free.

Had to wait 10 years for the return of Bleach, but when I first watched the Thousand Year Blood War arc, I didn't expect it to be this amazing. The first cour is one of the *BEST* anime seasons ever. It's perfect in every way. The art, animation, pacing, battles and plot twists. It has it all.

I think you are the only guys who noticed that girl has the same last name as ikkaku thats impressive memory. And noticing chad eating the concha too. Also that boy is voiced by deku. It feels like theres only a few voice actors in japan cause so many of them appear in so many shows. The director of this new bleach is the same director who did an anime called akudama drive. And he did one or two digimon movies too. His stuff usually looks like this style. It's unique and looks great but sometimes i miss some things about the old bleach style. It's hard to see but ichigo got a ps5 in his bedroom. Plus a pair of yeezy red octobers which are like $10k so idk how he paid for those. Eventually you gonna have to wait like the rest of us. Not quite 10 years but theres gonna be 4 seasons and only 2 aired so far so by the time you catch up you'll still have to wait for the new ones to drop.

Finally! The arc that everyone's been talking about is here 🔥 For me when it was aired back in October 2022 it feels like a dream that Bleach is really coming back and it's truly a banger! The animation, the music is on another level and with no censorship this time.

the latter half of arrancar arc (where they upped the screen res/aspect ratio) and then the fullbring arc and then 10 years later for TYBW, Bleach has had a few pretty big step ups, and Studio Pierrot popped off with the art I legit cried watching this episode (and a few others) from waiting for so long and finally getting something and it's so quality

Something special about this episode is we never got to see Ichigo use getsuga during his fight against Ginjo while in bankai. This was the very first time we see the black getsuga from the new bankai form. Really cool btw.✨

[Tidbits & Clarifications] - The new Female Shinigami's name is Shino Madarame, and she has a glare on her forehead, so she's assumably related to Ikkaku Madarame. - Ichigo's Getsuga Tenshou's are finally given their proper color here. The Shikai version was always meant to be yellow and the Bankai was supposed to be Black and White. In this Adaptation we get tones of proper corrections like this. - The start of the Episode has Ebern breaking something and releasing dust, that is Hollow Bait. A nice call back to when Uryu used it against Ichigo. - Ebern has a mask, so he has to be an Arrancar, but he's for some reason offended by that. - The people taken in the Rukon District were apparently taken by residents of the soul society, the question is who would be doing that and why - Kubo bases each race on different nationalities, and Quincies are based on German. Shinigami are Japanese, Hollows are Spanish, and Fullbringers are British.

Finally reactions from BLEACH TYBW!!!! Congratulations on the beautiful trajectory throughout the episodes of this wonderful work that is Bleach! At minute 6:37 I saw that you were confused about Bankai, after all they were common hollows and Ichigo could easily finish them off. Well, this scene doesn't exist in the manga, just cuts without a battle. However, it was a treat from the staff to the fans who had been waiting for this adaptation for 10 long years. It's worth remembering that everything you see in TYBW will either be added to or cut from the manga material. But don't worry! Everything will be canonical and of great value to the series, as the series' general director Tomohisa Taguchi works together with the work's creator, Tite Kubo. I hope you fully appreciate all the material adapted in these two cours already launched, as much greater things will come in the next ones! Things that not even I, a fan who owns and has read the complete work, have seen or even thought about seeing in Bleach! Congratulations!

Few things: 1. Whole cour#1 keep the quality in graphics. 2. I also belive that bankai was unessesary in this episode, BUT, that's my only complaint for cour#1 and it was purely fan service. 3. TYBW has sick pacing and lots of added scene's that weren't in manga (!)
