Im sick of the premier league now anyway. They constantly change it, thinking they are making it better, but its becoming worse every season. We have the dumbest refs, and then youve got idiots doing VAR, and too top it all off they've now made it so no team outside the top six can crash the party. We might get the odd season when a club finds itself in the champions league after having a great season, but its not like they'll stay there for any period of time because the top six clubs just buy their way back into the mix, by selling hotels to themselves etc.

The competition only livens up come the latter knockout stages when the bigger & best clubs compete in all or nothing games Can't even understand the revamped UCL format! When you find the 4th placed English team in Aston Villa sitting in the top 3 of the continents biggest competition, with Real Madrid & co so far behind a few weeks ago but they know that they don't need to do much as they'll still qualify for next phase. If anything, the old firm, Ajax, PSV, Feyenoord and anderlecht should have a league. it would boost their revenues and help them compete better in European competition. at best they'll challenge for europa/conference league biut ajax won't win another CL anytime soon. So then should there be two PLs then? but then UEFA is the sanctioned Europan football body. monopolies aren't inherently bad.
@mliam07096 минут бұрын
I think that's something that should be looked at. Instead of 55 national leagues across Europe have 7 or 8 regional leagues that would be better able to compete with the Premier League (which is an absolute commercial machine).

The new format of the European club competitions was obviously a stepping stone to a European league. It's literally a licence to print money so there is no way they were going to kick it into touch. Simon was right, they just weren't ready, so it was back to the drawing board to refine the idea and then refloat it. Some fans will support it, others won't but clubs don't care there are new supporters being created every season. In a couple of decades those who grew up supporting a team that competes in the European league will outnumber those who remember the 'old days' of competing in a domestic league. I'll be supporting a smaller, traditional club when that happens.

Majority of top tier leagues in all European countries have about 2-5 top teams that always are the only Teams that win and can win their leagues, have huge support from local fans, can generate great revenue. And many are so dominant because the remaining 18 or so clubs in these leagues are so small, many regional with very low support base. So it is only logical that Europe sees a SUper LEague encompassing these huge clubs from all over Europe, and having a 4-tier competition, so aspiring huge clubs from some of the lower leagues, like Astana, can one day grow and dream to be playing in the European Premier Super league Division. The biggest clubs from England, Spain, Germany, Italy, Portugal, France, Scotland, Netherlands, Belgium, Austria Switzerland, Poland, Croatia, etc will compete together annually. The biggest club in a country like Belgium that have great fan support, can never grow further when they cannot have an opportunity to play in the strongest league in Europe, the PL. This will allow all European clubs to be able to play in the Biggest Football League in the world.

The fans pay the money and the fans dont want the super league rich owners who want to compete with the premier league for money , if florentino perez and barca want a suoer league maybe they can start one in li liga on their own , as for the rest of football if fans dont pay to wath their own team because the owners of their clubs considering joining a bs league that only benefits real madrid and barca becase they are broke then im sure they will soon stip tryinh to dictate to us what we want we are the ones who pay. I for one will be boycotting if this even remotely gets any speed and the rest of the fanbase should too in fact id go as far as to say stop going to matches and show the clubs we want the super league to f off entirely

The 2nd or 3rd teams will play in the domestic league. Like Chelsea sent their youth team to play in the Conference League when they went to Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Err not sure Simon gets it, but Danny does. It's the product, not the marketing that pulls people in. Why would Prem teams give up the prem league? I'm not interested in watching random champs league games or esl - but I will watch random Prem games. People all over the world want to watch the Prem - not the camps league - there's a reason.

English Premier League is the Super League - No need to give the Spanish, Italians and French a lifeline … not interested Barca and Real Madrid - 😂😂.

@@lrtvhighlights3687 not really bud let's be honest about that, there's a reason United get special allowances in regards to financial fair play off the premier league, I'll give you a quick example, if city or Newcastle for instance were relegated it would not have an impact on their premier league financialy, if United or Liverpool were relegated it would be catastrophic

Whenever Eng. Lïsh fans hear about any competition that'd take away their financial advantage their hearts start pounding extremely fast and their iñ se curities rise above the roof.. They're judging this ESL yet their league is a sportwashing league built off foreign money, foreign owners, foreign managers and foreign players.. They're just scared to compete with all leagues in similar financial ground
