VeganAthlete Jake NEVER eat a mushroom you can’t 10000%% ID- go onto Facebook and join a few of the mushroom groups they are fab about ID and I would suggest going to your local library in town (or even ordering online) and get some foraging books for your area. 95% of mushrooms are TOXIC. PS mostly all compound berries (Rubus) are all edible 🤣

I'm concerned by the amount of people saying you can cook the toxins out of a toxic mushroom. Unfortunately, amatoxins are heat-stable. Cooking won't break the toxin down. Freezing or drying them won't work either. Also, people, even so-called experts, misidentify mushrooms. Foraging for wild mushrooms isn't recommended.

Foraging for food is something my Dad and Grandfather taught me as a child. Ramps are now being served in five star restaurants and the asparagus never tasted so good! I am learning about using cactus as I live in So. Cal. Micro greens are a new favorite as I don't have a yard. I live vicariously through others currently. Thanks for sharing your experiences!

Watching you garden makes me want to get my hands in some nice rich soil. I miss my garden and the raised beds that I put in. Now i will turn my energy to small flats of microgreens. I also plan to try miniature tomatoes as well in my Brooklyn, NY apartment. Thanks for the continuing inspiration. I love watching your channel. All the best to both of you!

There are mushroom identification groups on Facebook. Never eat a mushroom unless you're certain you know what it is. cook all mushrooms thoroughly, and even with safe mushrooms only eat a small amount at first to see if you tolerate them.

Step 1: Add diagonal braces to the vertical posts of the platform. The Pacific Yurt platform plans show it, the Pacific Yurt manual shows it. Without these braces, there is nothing there to help support the lateral movement. You are going to be putting a 1800-2700 lbs yurt on that platform, plus whatever else you are putting inside. That’s a lot of weight. Those nails and small brackets will not hold, they will pop right out of the wood. I would hate to see all this work you are putting into this and have the platform collapse. Even worse, someone get hurt. It’s a safety issue.

I wouldn’t waste your time Wildman there have been a number of us who have repeatedly encouraged him very nicely to look at this but he doesn’t listen or respond. The funny thing is he asks for ideas and people thoughts then when they are given with respect his response is nothing. But it’s not just with that he is no bushman and he is not willing to learn or heed advice, just remember the old saying “A good tradesman never spot learning “. The only reason I watch now from time to time is for the moment the saying “Told you so” will fit right in.

Jonathan Tooth I know, I have seen the comments as well. It’s a bummer he won’t take the advise, it’s free, haha. That’s one of the reasons I stated making videos, is to learn from others who have a lot more experience than I do.

Wildman Design Co the crazy part is from all the comments including mine we are all on their side we want to see them succeed that’s also the sad part as well. But unfortunately there are people out there that need to learn from there mistakes. All I hope is when this one does bite it doesn’t come with a high price.

I see lots of salmonberry, trailing blackberry, and Himalayan blackberry on you're property! I'm sure you're going to love berry season! I'll bet you have thimbleberry, blackcap raspberry, huckleberry, and maybe even some wild strawberry out there as well, just to name a few of the most delicious! I'd also recommend looking into licorice fern; the rhizome has a delicious black licorice flavor that can be used in teas. And grand fir tree needles are super high in vitamin C and make a tea that tastes like oranges! Pacific Northwest forage is incredibly bountiful, and you're heading into the best season for it! Just be careful with those mushrooms, I typically avoid them altogether with so much other and more safe forage in the area!

I have an app called plantsnap, and the app says that the mushroom may be Psathyrella uliginicola. A non-edible. It also notes that they are hard to identify, so take a sample in to a local plant nursery and see what they say. Good Luck!!! I live in Florida now, but born in Wisconsin. You are going to fall in love with rhubarb, raspberries and water chestnuts! We used to take walks and find them wild as well as blueberries in the northern part of WI where my grandparents lived. Good Luck with the change in climate. It is challenging but so much fun! I have lived in 7 states and it is so cool to expand your knowledge base on the different Zones and planting seasons. When I first moved to FL, I tried to plant tomatoes in April, HAAHAAHAA!!!! Smh.

Kevin & AnaMarie Gianni did a diesel RV tour and a lot of these restaurants have to pay a "honey truck" to come get the grease trap contents, so they should be more than happy for you to take some of that bulk away. They did have to add a warmer to make sure the grease could flow better. Not specific on the details, but they went all over the US without buying fuel! This was on youtube back in 2006-ish???
