They call this a "power fantasy," where the main character gains unbelievable power at an exponential rate. Kinda plays into like who you'd want to be in a fantasy world instead of how bad it could end up, like in Re:Zero. Mushoku Tensei is kind of a power fantasy too just less extremely than Slime.

One of Predator's uses is seperating an object in his stomach into smaller parts. So he just seperated Shizu and Ifrit (who is not a demon, but a fire elemental/spirit) and spit Shizu out again
