My 2006 Leon came with the coming home feature activated from the factory, they stay on for 40sec after closing the door. The sensor at the top of the screen is for the auto wipers, the light sensor is the small dome on the middle top of the dash close to the screen. At 83k and on the original coil-packs and injectors, I may have some expensive bills in the future.

Ah cheers for the heads up mate, apologies for my incorrect info on the light sensor 🙈 I learn something new everyday!! 😅 Yeah I have heard a few owners mention it was activated and some say it wasn't. I don't understand why they didn't do all cars. It's definitely much better having it all automated. Hopefully bills in the future for your car aren't too bad mate 🤞🏻 they may even last another 50k or so 👍🏻

​​​@@NorthCoastWorkshopmy 2008 FR has Auto, Coming home lights and Rain sensor. I think I ticked every option😂 as far as I am aware my light and rain sensor is the vertical sensor about 5 inches long top left of the windscreen.

Great vid again, have watched so many this last fortnight my brain is frazzled (in a good way) just ordered the OBDeleven via the affiliate link for my car, was previously looking at carista. Had my car for 2 weeks and only have service book so unsure on any other work engine maintenance wise and keen to know about timing chain stretch as it’s similar mileage to your one (mines 2011 2.0 TSI) Keep up the good work Kev 🤙🤙

I wouldn't have a clue mate either I'm afraid 🙈 I imagine it's clipped on, so plenty of patience and gently prising it away from the car is probably the best method 👍🏻 I've broke many a clip over the years 🤣

I have an cupra R 2010, just like yours (mine is white), and im taking your advices very close to me, and maintaining the car, and these videos are very very helpful!!! But now, and im asking you for help, the horn works normaly, the silent alarm engages, but the sound alarm does not!!!! How can i fix it, and possible causes!!! I checked all fuses, but i cant find the relay on the engine bay!!! If you could help, i'dd apreciate it!!! Keep up the good work!!! Cheers

Thank you for you kind words and encouragement Steve 🙏🏻 As for your alarm I'm not 100% on how the alarm systems work on these cars. All I can guess is that there's a separate circuit from the alarm, going to the normal horn circuit to activate the horns when the alarm goes off. Possibly there is a damaged wire somewhere. If you scan the car for faults a module, relay or general alarm issue should be identified in the recorded faults. Then t should help pinpoint where to start looking. So I recommend scanning your car first before trying anything else 👍🏻

@@NorthCoastWorkshop already did it!!! It showed an error on the alarm!!!! Deleted it, but i think it has to do with the circuit of the alarm!!! Probably a disconeted wire!!!

Ah rite, yeah I imagine it'll be a case of tracking the wires around the alarm system to see what you can find. It may be cut or perished or maybe just badly corroded.

I miss mine but low compression on cylinder 4 loads of oil in plug and massive oil consumption plus misfiring like an ak47 deffo engine falling had to get rid of it 😢😢😢😢

Hi, Can 1 faulty injector cause misfire on multiple injectors ?

Hi, no the faulty injector will only cause an issue with the cylinder it's fitted to. If you have misfires on numerous cylinders it could be something else like an electrical issue, or vacuum leak etc

I reckon odds of 4 injectors going bad at once are slim then ? I did have missfire on cylinder 2 for a bit but after i changed sparks and coilpacks it started to misfire on almost all of them. Thinking on doing decarb once its warm... Any ideas apreciated!

De-carb is a good shout. Also a smoke test on the pipework to check for air / vacuum leaks. Then a compression test just to make sure. Could be a timing issue, if the belt has jumped a tooth or more. Just gradually working your way through the checks. Theres an endless list on Google of misfire causes sadly 🙁
