The Hollyland LARK M1 would be great for streaming VR and making video. I am saving up for a new camera right now so can really afford to get anything else. Winning would allow me to stream VR until I can afford the new camera to make videos. After the camera and wireless mic I am going to get a 3d printer to make some items to help with my muscle disorder. I love your videos on the tire rim showing the fails is nice to show that not everything goes perfect.

ports are on the back for cable management. It's normally not advised you plug anything into the passthrough unless it's just for power... But you knew that right? Tbh I wouldn't trust a 3d printed stand. Just seems rather r*tarded to spend money on a decent monitor and then make the stand mostly plastic... I mean sure if you are going Aldi Budget like you've gone it makes no difference... But for those of us that use a PC a monitor is more important than speakers.

Honestly stacked monitors setup is underrated. 3x side-by-side is still king for most scenarios, but 2x stacked is the the most useful "specialized" setup for monitor speakers, narrow/busy tables. Add a portable 11.6/13 inch touchscreen monitor on a VESA arm attached to the side of a table and it's a perfect multipurpose setup. Top monitor for "standby/monitoring" tasks Bottom monitor for primary work. Vertical touch monitor for either social or misc tasks.

I started 3d printing when I was given a second hand monoprice 3P, after some serious mods I had it really dialed in, and got better results than the original owner. Now, I have a Resin also. Add to that my love of tinkering and DIY projects at home and this video really had me hooked. Totally love the idea of making your own monitor stand, can't belive I never thought of that. Now, what does all that have to do with a microphone, well, nothing really. But my daughter is making videos, streaming, and a photographer. I would give this mic to her because honestly she would get so much more out of it than I would. Cheers, and keep these great DIY vids coming.

LOVE the work on this. The RGB, the thought put into it, and even the REALLY nice stainless tube. I like how it is simply over engineered! You have a lot of confidence in the prints though, I dont know if I would trust them, but if it works, it works! NOW TIME FOR MORE RGB! It makes everything faster. I would love that Lav mic, it would help me with better audio, but I do not NEED it. We have a Tascam DR-10L that I use for my main lav audio and it works fine. It should go to someone who needs it! Would love to compare it to the tascam one day though!

Making monitor stands for the audio monitors, at ear height, properly isolated from resonances, would also free up space on the desktop. Possibly to add a tablet or similar connected to octoprint for monitoring the printing room.

I’d love to have a wireless lav mice because it would help my videos a lot as a small growing channel. It’s super frustrating having to use wired lavalieres and edit in the audio after the fact. It makes syncing the video audio pretty and time consuming. Also wireless lavalieres that are of good quality are way too expensive for me as a teenager. Love your videos dude they’re so inspiring. Makes me want to modify the crap out of my printers!

I am digging the monitor stand idea! I have 3 wide, and one above. Having 3 monitors sitting on the desk is annoying, and 3 wide stands are stupid expensive. The 4th is mounted to the wall. This gives me some ideas! I could really use a wireless Lav Mic! My current $20 Sony is always strangling me, or getting yanked out the computer! The ability to connect to a phone, DSLR, and computer opens up lots of options, and the 2nd transmitter would be a huge bonus when one of my kids wants to jump in!

Very interesting idea, I've also been disappointed at the market options for monitor stands. Flimsy designs, no triangulation... You pay premium for extra adjustability that goes to waste the moment you find your sweet spot for your setup and never move them again. That's why I'd rather design custom 3d printed brackets that are rigid and custom-oriented for your sweet spot. But I'd go for something bulkier than the black ones holding those monitors... Those are definitely not over engineered 😅 The mic looks great, I don't have any wireless mics so I would stop messing with cables any time I want to record some dialog.

Reason for wanting to win that microphone: I think it would help me a lot in the portability for my interviews I am doing for my study. I have been interviewing people for my study in game design and my current go to daily driver is my HyperX Quadcast. Reason for this is that it has a great omnidirectional pickup pattern. But it is a bit bulky and uses quite some of the space in my backpack. It also requires me to have my laptop with me. The total package becomes even more if I need video for my interview as well. And seeing that this is compatible with Android and my camera makes it possible for me to have high-quality audio and video with just a smartphone.

I would probably still put a C-clamp on the back side of it to clamp it to the desk.

Wow, I thought the most boring part would have been the user. (joking... or am I?) Okay, really great job. If you like where the stand is right now and thinking about it being the permanent location, you could drill into your table and make the post/pole pass through the table for greater stability. I have been making something like this but designing the stand to act as a universal docking station for our laptops. My design is to make a docked laptop look like a vertical stacked book with my other books. Oh, please don't pick me for the mic giveaway (which probably occurred already). No one wants to hear me speak.

Love watching you make all these things. It looks so effortless compared to my struggling just trying to get my printer level or cut a straight line. Would like the mic as I spend my days in online meetings and my previous wireless headset died. I’m currently tethered with a USB mic
