I go through every modification done to my 2012 Hyundai Genesis 5.0 R-Spec and from where I bought them from and for how much. @@Xtalgic 4.6l doesnt make any power, everything is sound good and aesthetic. I dont think 5.0l will do the same, only the new 3.3t probaly make decent power to make it worth it. I just enjoy mine for what it is, a nice, quiet...semi luxurious ride. it still cant beat my mother MB S500 with it air suspension.

I have a 2014 Genesis R-Spec. No mods have been done, and shows 58k miles. Car is a cream puff, and will happily waste most anything on the road. Nice to see someone who appreciates this machine like I do.

That's a decent chunk of $$. I wish they had more aftermarket upgrades to make it faster. That's the only downfall I see for that vehicle. Everything else I love about it.

So my neighbor has a 14 genesis 5.0 and he was able to fit a Whipple sc on his car similar to a 5.0 gt and makes 600whp so you can but everything gotta be custom if your willing to spend the money

Borla exhaust so far. Honestly I don’t think the 2020 Supra looks good at all. The Mach 4 is amazing and timeless. Thought I’d change my mind seeing one in person and I still had the same opinion. 🤷🏽‍♂️... $60,000-$70,000 could get you into something 🔥. Great videos bro I’m doing the slotted rotors and rear brembos next.

That's actually where I'm hoping to get mine. I want to hunt hellcats and track Hawks lol. Gonna take a lot of time and money to get there. I'm moving slowly. She's in the shop now getting a new throttle body, and I'll have them check the timing and possibly have it done, new valve cover gaskets. Had new cross drilled and slotted rotors put on, and next move is to find a decent priced set of brembos.

Awesome... Just some food for thought, rims would be considered a "mod" by most people, tires are more of a maintenance thing. Also, if your ended up selling the OEM rims, you could deduct both of these from your running total? Maybe you will feel even better about the cost of the mods now! Just don't ask Tim to calculate. Speaking of which, isn't Tim usually late? Least he could do is add your numbers up without complaining!

Then you can spend the difference on your self (or Mrs X) and feel good all over. I totally agree tires are the most important thing to spend money on. If your old ones were bald (your smoke shows are still some of my fav's) you still have to "replace" them. Not that it matters one way or another. Thanks again though for posting this. Hey I have some BC coilovers coming in today for my ‘11 4.6. I got the ones for R-Spec. My questions are: 1) Did you have to install camber adjustment bolts (front or rear) or any other stuff that didn’t come with the coilovers? 2) how much did you lower it compared to stock? I haven’t man and I honestly probably won’t, sorry. Coilovers are pretty easy install and they transform the car so much. Besides the coils are stiff enough can’t imagine adding collars 🤔

Billy Stevens well if you watched this video you’d know much of the information that you’re seeking. But the tires are Firestone Indy500’s they aren’t as good as the Potenzas that come on the R-Specs In terms of dry traction and response, especially on center. But the Indy’s are better in the rain and have a much better wear rating and value.

You ever think about getting a wing/spoiler? What do you think about the power stop Z23 rotor/pad kits.. I did my fronts and so far it's good. Got the rears coming tomorrow and I'll be changing them out Saturday morning....Funny thing...When I changed my front rotors and pads..would you believe they had the coupe rotors, literally the pads where to big for the rotor and created a horrible edge on the pad that made the pads look good if you just glanced from the sides. I took pictures of it.

I have a 14 5.0 . I was thinking about doing a 2nd cat delete with a full 2.5 exhaust after that with a x pipe and nice straight through mufflers.. i was reading and someone said these cars wer maxed out from the factory and might lose back pressure and low end torque possibly making it slower.. or do you think itl be alittle faster ?

Have 2012 4.6L. black on black with every option. The car is perfect condition with 85,000 miles. The other day; Turned the key to start engine. Sounded like something broke in the engine...turned a couple times, then seized. WTF went wrong? I'm thinking timing chain broke. New 4.6L Long block; $17,000. Note: I drive the car HARD.

I know this a year late but check out videos on ZF transmission fluid services or most BMW transmission fluid service. I replaced all six shift solenoids since one went bad. I also replaced the plastics bridge and plastic spacers along with pan/filter combo and fluid. This is on my 2009 Genesis with 4.6 v8. I saved myself a lot of 💵💵💵 doing this myself.

So nothing performance-wise no tune Apparently 429 horsepower on heavy cars is enough? so over the Chrome pieces why don't you just 3D print some custom stuff it's pretty easy to do I created a custom cold air air box for my 96 Ford Bronco with a 5.8 liter Edelbrock intake BBK throttle new Edelbrock headers I do believe the Thunder series high output water pump High amp alternator 4 inch blitstein lift kit no spacers long tube headers dual Flowmaster 40 series replace the ECU with a haltech running a custom tune for high altitude living a mile above sea level I do believe 33 by 10 5 on 15 inch tire hard remembering everything front and rear winch handmade custom front and rear bumpers Kenwood single DIN head unit 2 12 inch skar audio Alpine Type S speakers roll bar list goes on and on

Ceramic tint sounds like another gimmick! I don't get why would you wouldn't spend $1100 towards aftermarket wheels instead of just going generic oem. But $5710 is a waste of money on such a car, you could have bought a Equus instead for a REAL upgrade.
