I was too an addict. But i realise that this is nonsense, thanks to Allah. My method is simple, download some recitations of surahs such as Waqiah, Yasin, Rehman, Anfaal, Kahf, Fath etc. and listen to any surah whenever you feel the urge and due to this, i managed to escape it. Tha ks to Allah

@@Asimabhat07 yup haven't watched any inappropriate content since November, 2022. But you have to be fully sincere for this. I started this method in January, 2022 by listening to Surah Anfaal, Kahf and Fath daily. Then set a target of specific days in which I won't consume this content. First it was 3 days, then 5 then a week, then 2 weeks then a month than 2 months and so on. But have to understand the Arabic language of course. Otherwise I don't think it will work. You won't understand what Allah is saying to you. Hope this helps

This was such a beautiful video. This man is absolutely spot on. Porn addiction is the new cigarettes/drugs of this generation and unfortunately, no one talks about it enough. As a former addict, I think everyone who has been into this and successfully came out should mention their reasons so the ones who are stuck can try different methods and who knows maybe your method might workout for them. The reason I was addicted was mainly because I was bored and had nothing to do. You might think this is weired but if you ask someone who has been addicted, they will tell you going to that this is very common. So please please please don't take your mobile in the toilet and also don't keep it with yourself while you're about to sleep. In both cases you're alone and in both cases you have free time. As weired as it sounds DON'T give yourself free time if you're suffering from this and if you're not suffering from this then NEVER search any funny business when you're bored just out of curiosity. DON'T make that mistake. Curiosity in this case is your biggest enemy.

Here’s how I got rid of this addiction: -deactivate/delete your social media. We all know how much nudity one can encounter on social media. And for potent young men this often acts as trigger. -your prayers should be good. On time, focused and repeat asking Allah swt for the strength to overcome this. -be conscious about the fact that Allah swt is watching you. That alone should start to make you feel embarrassed. -be busy: hit the gym, start a side hustle, a new hobby or whatever it is. -watch you circle: don’t surround yourself with people that literally celebrate nudity and this filth. Been married for 10 years now. Alhamdulillah. I’m 29. And I don’t disagree with good points the brother has made in the video. But he is not a prophet. And when the prophet muhammad peace and blessings be upon him says to get married and to fast and to lower our gaze and guard our private parts. Then how can anyone say otherwise? Marriage isn’t a solution? Then what is? And the brother may allah give him jannah for his striving and effort. Is not yet married if I heard him correctly, if he is then I am mistaken. You know what nobody will ever mention because of it being taboo? Polygyny as a solution. Men will have more motivation towards marrying than pornography. The prophet peace and blessings be upon him and sahaba used to marry and be loyal to more than one woman. And they were human beings that strived to be near perfect. And we should do the same.

I don't remember our prophet saying that marriage will solve these issues for you (porn addiction in particular), because simply it doesn't. If it would then there would not be so many cases of "my husband is watching porn" and so on and so forth and you are saying "then marry more women" ... bro the underlying issue is not on the outside it is in the inside. The man has an issue not his relationships. It's as if you are saying marriying will solve my heroin addiction because with a wife in my life i will have fun and no need for heroin anymore. I don't buy it and it shows. It show on the countless men with disrespect towards their wife, men who beat their wives, women screwing the man over and so on. If this was gonna happen why did they marry? Thinking marriage will magically solve all issues. This is scary as a single female. You never know who has this addiction and they're marrying you just for the purpose of leaving their addiction and using you as a test subject. Because marriage is NOT a solution for this addiction. Such people have no emotional attachment and they only engage in this activity for a pleasure and after a while they get bored. That's why many people start slow and watch not so serious stuff, but then they slowly slowly get deep into this stuff to the point that they start to watch ra*e. I watched a documentary once where they explain this phenomenon. People are so sick and so addicted that they even begin to watch r*pe to satisfy their desires because normal p*rn is no longer sufficient. Someone with these type of addictions are ill and they need therapy. Marriage would be a solution for someone who has high desires, and they're afraid that they would fall into sin if they wouldn't marry. But someone who is already deep into this sin isn't going to heal from marriage.

This is a huge sickness but there is a cure. First, fast everyday, once you make the intention you will follow through because you fear Allah SWT. it will also do your body alot of good. Second, try not to spend any time alone and go to bed early and get up early for Fajr. Last, exercise if you are unable to work. Give it time, (it will take time) and you will become a most disciplined person and life will change for the better guaranteed!

My personal experience: After 1 month of NoFap, I joined a gym. I am not a sports guy and only did indoor activities so the first day was hard but I kept going for maybe 2 weeks while doing NoFap and alas! I relapsed and watched p*rn when I was home for a few days and now I went to Gym again. I knew that I would experience difficulty while lifting but the difficulty was more than the 1st day of Gym when I joined. When I started Gym, I was level 1 close to level 2 but now, I am in level 0 right now.

A solution to this is to fast when you have urges as said by our Prophet Muhammed PB: Abd-Allah ibn Mas’ood (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated, “We were young men with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and we did not have anything (i.e., we could not afford to get married). The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to us, ‘O young men, whoever among you can afford to get married, then let him do so, for it is more effective in lowering the gaze and guarding chastity. And whoever is not able to do that, then let him fast, for that will be a shield for him.’” (al-Bukhaari, 5066; Muslim, 1400). Fasting reduces the effects that desires have on young people.

Finally. A Muslim speaking about it. I consider this addiction as one of the- no, as the top number 1 hardest addiction to quit. BUT if you do your research enough, you'll find out that it is still hard but not as hard as before, you can definitely quit it in a year and reap it's benefits witching the time period. From there onwards, forget about the addiction and live with your new self. The key is that you just gotta find out what makes YOU lazy and what do you want to achieve and start working on it ASAP.
