Graag gedaan! Ik ben blij te horen dat je enthousiast bent om het satérecept uit te proberen. Het klinkt alsof je reis terug naar je geboorteland een geweldige ervaring was, vooral het weerzien met familie. Die momenten zijn echt kostbaar. Hi Michael , I hoped you had a wonderful Easter ! I was thinking of Greek chicken skewers for part of the main course for my son’ s bday party …. But now that I saw your video …. I think I will switch that to Chicken satay and peanut dipping sauce and glass noodle salad as appetizer. None of which I have cooked before ….so I will have to do run . Thank you for the tutorial, as always very organized and easy to follow. Great job 👍👍👍👍

It sounds like your son's birthday party is going to be delicious with the Chicken satay, peanut dipping sauce, and glass noodle salad on the menu. Those are fantastic choices, and I'm thrilled my video inspired you to try something new. If you've never cooked these dishes before, remember to take your time and enjoy the process. The flavours are incredible, and I'm confident they'll be a big hit at the party. Can't wait to hear how it all turns out. Happy cooking, and a very happy birthday to your son!

Wow it looks so delicious and not that difficult to do. 👍 Using a non stick pan is a good idea. Can we use the air fryer too?
@michaellim8 ай бұрын
Using wooden skewers in an air fryer is not a option. For those who prefer not to deal with the potential risks, opting for metal skewers or cooking the satay without any skewers in the air fryer could be a preferable alternative.

Thanks for sharing. Can crunchy peanut butter be used to add some texture to the sauce? The spatula you used , is it silicone or nylon material ? Been looking for that for quite awhile.
@michaellim8 ай бұрын
Yes, you can use crunchy peanut butter. If you are referring to the spatula I used to fry the satay, it is made of polyamide plastic and can withstand temperatures up to 220°C. You can purchase it at an Ikea store.

Hi Chef Lim, I would like to try the recipe. Unfortunately, I cannot find corriander powder in my area. Can i skip it? Can i use thai red curry paste? Thank you!
@michaellim8 ай бұрын
Hello! If coriander powder is unavailable in your area, you might consider ordering it online to ensure your dish has the authentic flavor it needs. Skipping coriander powder can affect the taste of your recipe, as each spice contributes its unique flavour. Regarding Thai red curry paste, it has a very distinctive taste that differs from the effect coriander powder alone would have on your dish. Therefore, I wouldn't recommend substituting it for coriander powder in recipes where coriander's unique flavor is key. Using Thai red curry paste could significantly change the flavor profile of your dish. I hope this helps, and happy cooking!

Can these be made in advance & frozen? How long can they be kept frozen?
@michaellim2 ай бұрын
Yes, you can definitely make these in advance and freeze them! To freeze, I’d recommend assembling the satay skewers and placing them in a single layer on a tray to freeze. Once frozen, transfer them to an airtight container or freezer bag. They can be kept frozen for up to 2-3 months. When you’re ready to cook them, just thaw them in the fridge overnight and grill as instructed. I hope this helps, and happy cooking!

Hi chef, how to make red curry paste? Is it chili boh? 😊
@michaellim8 ай бұрын
Making red curry paste involves a bit more than just chili boh. While chili boh, a type of Malaysian chili paste, provides the spicy foundation, authentic red curry paste also includes a blend of fresh herbs and spices.
