Not sure if it works the same with 5.56 clips but with 7.62 clips for an SKS, if you pull up on the nose of the top round while pushing down, they go in easier.

I've only tried that method with the Mosin Nagant. I've never tried it with 5.56 before.

@@MadrasArsenalidk if it did anything, but I did notice more malfunctions the times I didn't do it. It could be superstition. 🤷🏻‍♂️
