Do you use wax foundation or plastic foundation? and which one is better in terms of cost, reusability, and extraction?

Great question. I prefer wax foundation. But lots of people use plastic. They can last a very long time in supers, they never fail in the extractor. Cost wise plastic is more expensive to buy. But you get the savings later on. Downside of it is there is a bit more work when it comes to melting the frames.

What about the wood glue? Tite Bond lll is supposed to be very good. Plastic foundations if you can coat them with extra wax are a plus. Someone else suggested an jig to built these.🤔🤷 Maybe, would have to see it 1st on how well that would work. Depending on if your putting together 50 frames or 500 - 5k to justify the jig.🤷🤔🙂🐝🐝💪💪🐝🐝😉

I’m not using plastic on any scale. Already use tite bond 3 on hives. It’s a really good glue. Agree coating with wax is much better

That’s Still to slow, make up a jig to hold the frames. I’ve one that hold 20 frames. All done in 10-12 minutes.

Your frame should be compatible with your hive. If you have a langstroth hive you need a langstroth frame.
