Cure-ass- iers. Named after the cuirass (body armor). The term bullet proof comes from their chest plate. They would shoot it in the front shoulder with a pistol. The indent from the round was proof it would stop a round. Battle of Eylua 10,000 were charged into the Russian center to hold the line.

Higher ground isn't always superior. Being on the reverse slope has advantages more units can be brought to fire on the cresting troops and artillery can be already zeroed without bringing it up the hill. Artillery also be used better on flat ground for allowing the cannonball to skip and increase the beaten zone.

Apollo not sure if you know but Total war Arena is back and fully released in China, but anyone can still play, Im in the west coast of the U.S and play very often. If you want to check it out again it would awesome Id love to see you play it again. There are guides to install it and it is not difficult at all. It's worth a try!

Not sure if you know this, but when it says 11e hussars (short for 11eme) it essentially means 11th hussars so just use 11th to make it sound more natural :)

The winning with points system reminds me of certain rules of winning in Warhammer 40K. 1d4chan wrote that if you play Orcs and take Grots (the dirt cheap super weak units) sometimes you could sneak in and seize a position, hold it, and the other player won't necessarily notice or will forget. And you could clinch a win or a tie that way.

Smashing through the centre and driving a wedge between enemy armies I think is one of the most satisfying things in Total War. Napoleon's Strategy of Central Position (risky and daring) - if you wanna look it up.

definitely. although napoleon total war is more polished than empire total war and therefore the combat is better, but empire total war is much more bigger and allows you to conquer all the way to the america's and india.

On that beginning segment, I honestly really try to avoid using hussars. You can bring a lot more of them and they’re alright against lights but struggle against line/elite and always almost always loose to heavy cav.

it's only bad etiquette in NTW3 standards as a massive blob is extremely dangerous and kind of broken as morale increases more if your units are all groups to each other and it persists when they are charge

I don't understand how blobbing your men into a column to charge at the enemy could be 'poor etiquette'. Literally, even in the real life, men does gain morale and will to fight when together.

It could also be extremely useful if the enemy is fighting with thin formations, because so much force and mass would be concentrated on one section that you could break through and have your men pour in.

Tbh hill camping and just camping is not necessary a bad thing since a lot of time the goal is simply to defend when you have no troops and no reason to attacks. Same goes the other way around, you shouldn’t attack a hill if you are at a disadvantage. So here’s a tip if someone is camping an you think you will lose: don’t attack, make it boring for him!
