Thanks for the spotlight to mod, Apollo, always appreciated. Few things: 1. Vasili, the French player pulling back most of the game, did an excellent job withdrawing while hurting the Russian and Austrian (mine) army. If the Brits had lost on the opposite flank instead of routing their opponents, the fact that he maintained most of his infantry could have been a deciding factor. 2. The French were so outnumbered due to the French having a Garde player (with a small, elite army), as well as going up against two notoriously thick Coalition nations (Austria 1809, Spain 1808). 3. Compared to the Coalition, the French were very spread out, and only a few of them in voice chat with each other, whereas the whole Coalition was in the same voice chat, even if one lacked a mic. Communication and teamwork is super important in this mod. 4. The Peninsular UK has actually removed all the Spanish and Portuguese troops from their roster in the recent patch, so it's just the regiments under the King's Own Banner in that faction now. 5. If you ever want to play more of the mod yourself, hit me up on the discord, I'd be happy to play alongside you and help you along. Goes for anyone here, I'm always happy to bring newer players into the mod and up to snuff.

Absolutely! The multiplayer scene is as big as ever, and still growing. The devs put out several patches a year, and are always looking for bugs to fix and ways to improve the mod. About half the community is Euro, so you can typically find games going on from 9am til midnight CST on most days. I believe Apollo linked the Lordz discord in the video, stop on by some time, we’ll get you sorted.

Good match. I think the French should have been a bit more cautious with their cavalry. They lost a lot of units during their retreat on the right due to lack of cavalry, and it was also what caused the mass break towards the end. The French player in the middle should have also pushed much earlier and tried to support the retreat of the right French player. It seems he was on his own for most of the game vs Austria and Russia.

Longstreet here, I would say that in this era of fighting that I would use cavalry as flank harassment and withdraw protection, if I were to withdraw, I would throw in some cavalry to halt the advancing units, run my units away, and spread them out to get as much guns firing as possible with artillery in between some units( unless mortars) to give covering fire and bombard advancing enemy forces, I would also set light infantry about 100 yards out a pickets( civil war style) any feed back and improvements to this tactic would be appreciated. 👍🏻

The fourth player had a Garde army. It’s typically a small, elite force used for spearheading into weak points or for attacking/defending the flanks of the entire force.

I finished watching; Austrian/ Russian aggressiveness early on kept the French right on a retreat that only became worse A lot of credit though has to go towards the brilliant British manauver that split the French army in two Overall, the coalition forces had great attacking generals that caught the French off guard
