I've watched this video multiple times since it came out. And then, I finally bought Disgaea 5 during NIS' Publishers' Sale last September/October (whichever Friday it was when Dragon Quest Builders came out -- hell, yeah, I bought that one, too! ~The Vita version, since I didn't yet have the PS4, especially since I prefer playing games like that and Minecraft on the go, anyways, and it's $20 cheaper...)... It wasn't until after this Christmas that I finally got a PS4, so now I could finally play this game. I beat this game just this past Saturday. And I found that, almost every day I was playing it, (and that's almost *every* day, this game rules) I ended up watching this video just as often. Heh. I guess I wanted to be better than DSP, too. Still haven't gotten past Episode 2, yet, in 4, though, or past Episode 6 in D2, and I've beaten 1-3.

I'm amazed people watch someone and flick nickels at them when he won't even give game mechanics the time of day. I'm watching him struggle on the ice map where you have all the ice blocks. You know what would have really helped with that? Logan...if only there was a way to get Logan...like...a questing system.

I'm one of those min\max players for this series that abandons the story for the itemworld asap and doesn't go back until I have max level Traps on all my characters. At least you can't expect Phil to do that much grinding. Hed still find a way to fail with max stats though.

Funny thing about that whole Killia singing comment at the beginning, from what I remember reading, the Japanese voice actor for Killia actually did sing the intro song to this game. So, in a sense, DSP isn't wrong. Too bad he didn't finish the game. Would have been funny to see him taking on Bloodis and his overload.

I'd have liked to see him reacting to Void Dark's Overload myself. He'd be like "DOOD, he didn't do that before! Since when can he revive his teammates/drain my SP/buff himself/Weaken my characters?!" even though the story keeps showing him stealing -me's- Overloads. Of course, since he could barely defeat Chapter 4's boss battle, and only because of Berserk Usalia, yeah...Bloodis would've torn him apart well before he even got to the point where Brigante Eclipse was introduced!

It's a real bummer to see someone so bad at Disgaea. These games are as hard as you want them to be. It's very easy to get leveled to a point where the difficulty is just right, and it's easy to manage your stats and equipment for more challenge. You can spend as much time as you want to on anything! Disgaea games are statistical playgrounds, not a crawl through razorwire like Final Fantasy Tactics.

2:00:00 and onwards, I mean, the biggest issue I have with the way DSP was playing this game and Disgaea 4 was how he'd miss so many details. Why was he rushing through so much and not taking time to read and look for descriptions? I mean, he should've realized right away that making towers in attempts to climb up high places is useless. I mean, all it takes is basic math and observation of which class and unique character could do what. There are hardly any characters in the game that could throw a unit higher than 30 dm, so building towers for that purpose is mostly pointless. I mean, rushing like that through any strategy RPG is just a great way to burn yourself out. But, yeah... whee, my last comment was pinned! Yay! Thanks. 😀. I haven't played the game in a while: took a break to replay Rune Factory: ToD. I'm still trying to break into the Carnage Dimension.

There was one hilarious video on DSP playing RE3 and he kept whining about "not enough ink ribbons" so he can save when he literally saved his game every 5 minutes. Ok 1:06:00 into the vid and and I could feel my veins burst out of my head. To Dsp's credit he did made me chuckle on the song lyrics when he interpreted the part of the song from "I dont buy it" to "I dont bite." However, moments like those are very far and you have to suffer through the vid to find em. I apologize if I cant finish the vid. I was yelling LIFT AND THROW during his poisondise segment. Dale the Charmeleon People working for Nippon Ichi Software are super fun, that's why. You should try all their games, Disgaea (all), La Pucelle, Makai Kingdom, Phantom Brave, Prinny operation panties, etc...
