Yoo, do you see a picture of young Teach that Oda draw a few years ago? In that picture, Teach sits and cried during night time when the moon is up.. He cry because he really can't sleep at all.. Back in Drum Arc, Luffy told Sanji that people from snowy country never sleep, sanji said how was it possible? Luffy said something that if they sleep, they gonna die, maybe it has some connection with Teach.. what if Teach sleep and he die? he know he will die so he never want to sleep

So this chapter is super packed, but it also mirrors when Roger tells Oden/Whitebeard "That's right! And then I'll be..." and they don't show what he says is the same in the flashback to Ace, Sabo, and Luffy when Luffy says "All right... well then... I'm gonna be..." and Sabo/Ace have the same reaction that Whitebeard and Oden did. Disbelief and laughter.

26:30 We can't, actually. We've got a weird blacked out moment like that during Luffy's flashback too, he says "I'll be..." and we never got the rest, only a dumbfounded Ace and a laughing Sabo. So there is some kind of twist there. Maybe "Pirate King" isn't actually Luffy's end goal. Shanks also said that one day Luffy told him the exact same thing Roger did, and we don't know what yet.

3 things: 1. Roger saying “i’m gonna be...” is Oda referencing Luffy’s speech to Sabo & Ace in ch. 585 2. Road star gets its name from the way the map of all the roads looks like a christmas tree with road star as the star on top (scope the panel) 3. Blackbeard is a conjoined triplet, the reason he doesn’t sleep is because the other two do enough sleeping for him

I have an idea in my head that what Roger said wasn't "I'm gonna be... King of the Pirates"... cus why would Oda, off-screen that, we know he became King of the Pirates.. What IF.... Roger said he was going to be something else, maybe it ties into what Whitebeard said at Marineford, about the man Roger is "waiting for" to Blackbeard. Maybe Roger knew he could go beyond his physicality as a human, maybe he will become/ became something else when he reached Raftel. I think it's plausible given Whitebeard's and Oden's reactions to what he said weren't thinking he was serious, rather than just laughing at him jokingly with him saying "King of the Pirates."

Not gonna lie, we've been getting literal GOAT chapters every week and I know it's going to continue which is so incredibly hype, BUT in the back of my mind it's also making me feel really sad every week because I can just feel the beginning of the end of One Piece coming. It's no surprise to us fans that the story is near the end (relatively speaking) and I just can't help but feel so depressed thinking about the day the story actually comes to a close lol. That day is gonna be a massively bitter-sweet day for me lol. I love this series with everything in me.. But with that said, here's to the final decade of One Piece!
