"All my blood for the sweetness of her laughter...". One of the most lyrically beautiful songs ever written. Chills, every time.

Lover, You Should’ve Come Over” is an original composition that combines all of Buckley’s strengths into seven minutes of near perfection. when Buckley rises to the heights of his idols. It’s sprawling, decadent, Magnificent . It finds the romance in despair. So Soulful !!! Thank you!!!!

For such a young man to create such an exquisite ode to lost and unrealised love is utterly remarkable to me. To know this feeling at such a tender age speaks volumes about Jeff's empathy. It means so much to me this song because I'm an oldie with heartbreak and sadness in unreasonable measure - so I get it. "She's a tear that hangs in my soul forever". God bless Jeff Buckley may he rest forever in peace.

Fun fact: Radiohead watched him live in 1994, Thom Yorke was so moved by his voice that he then wrote “Fake Plastic Trees” and broke down crying. I think he was a big influence on Thoms voice, to this day. He has one of the best male voices ever in my opinion. Four octaves, tons of character, and a very impressive falsetto. Craziest part is he had no formal training and avoided singing until late in his life. Wish he was still with us.

Matt Bellamy of MUSE is similar in his praise of Buckley. In 2021 he bought Buckley's yellow telecaster guitar. To be honest, I don't think there's a serious artist out there who isn't inspired and influenced by Buckley. It's easy to see why, he's a legend.

Jeff and Chris Cornell were friends and after Jeff’s death Chris along with Jeff’s band helped his mother navigate the business to release Jeff’s unfinished album. On an acoustic tour, Chris had a red phone next to him on stage as a prop and when he was asked about it he said Jeff’s mom gave Jeff’s old analog phone to him as a keepsake. Mojo Pin live in Chicago is incredible! Along with the live version in Chicago of Lover you should’ve come over.

This song has long been my favorite. The lyrics are so heartfelt and emotional. The absolute best lyrics ever written, in my opinion. So sad that Jeff was taken from us so early in his life.

Absurdly talented and uber soulful dude. Hard for me to listen to in large doses as I find it a bit haunting, more so than other artists that have passed, I think. Last Goodbye, is a nice groovy track with some good slide guitar & strings

Thank you Rory for the wonderful reaction - I've watched your channel a lot and it seems we have much in common with our taste in music... My dad is Andy Wallace who produced & MIXed this album and actually a lot of other songs you have reacted to... If you have any questions or anything about this or any of those other tracks please let me know I'd be more than happy to answer or ask my dad if I needed - cheers mate

There's a lot of live versions of Jeff playing this song with his band, but my favorite is this one kzbin.info/www/bejne/nJW7gqiZebSYmpo It's just him and his guitar and personally I think that this version is the best, it's amazing man.
