What a heart felt lovely story, volunteering as gardener at YHA Windermere is my way of repaying YHA for the support i have achieved since the loss of my wife . Never stops amazing me listening to some of the inspirational achievements from fellow like minded people, its a fantastic platform for young and more mature people to have the opportunity to overnight in these truly wild wonderful buildings . YHA is tops when it comes to charitable organizations and hoping I will be able to enjoy there company for many more years as I'm sure Jo will.

Anyone in the decision making process at YHA executive level reading this remarkable ladies story will surely think long and hard before putting this YHA hostel on the market , YHA you are special in people’s lives in a way Travelodge or a premier inn could never be , those money making city hostels have a duty of care to keep the jewels in the crown shining and open so others less fortunate can have these amazing experiences .
