Thank you! Yes, it's just so hard for many to find that balance. I know how well you all do with it, but so many allow these things to change how they live. I've even seen it deeply affecting those in the Christian faith and it saddens me. I was definitely one of them and I needed the Lord to fully open my eyes. God bless you always ❤️

So good to see you back! 😁 I had to move too and gave away most of my built up food to family and friends. Donated a ton, got rid of expired junk. It was taking my happiness away. I moved from a 16'x80' mobile home to a 36' fifth wheel camper. I did have to store some furniture and other things. It was a rude awakening but I had to! We weren't meant to live in the spirit of fear. Common sense is a better approach. I do put my faith in God and try to live accordingly. Thank you for the great video! Take care and God bless! 🙏❤

It's so good to hear your story and experience! I don't think people truly get it until they are faced with that sort of situation. I'm so happy that you found your calling and that your speaking up 😊 I can never understand stacking it to the rafters..I grow garden I can I have animals it was never about prepping it's always a lifestyle for me mostly because I grew up poor and in a city. I wanted to teach my children how to raise animals grow food and bake. NONE of that is possible without God none of it so thank you for speaking up AND DON'T STOP SPEAKING UP❤

well said, and I agree with Penny Pinching Prepper's comment below: Skills>stuff So many are hyperfocused on End of the World, that it can be easy to overlook sensible, day to day preparedness. I have no interest in building a bunker or being the last person standing.. That's not living to me. But if I can help people get through storms, recession, loss of job, then I can help a LOT of people in dealing with the kind of stuff we are most likely to endure.

Great video sister. i'd just like to add that if we spent half the time learning how to track Hunt trap and forage that we wouldn't have to worry about stacking to the rafters cause We would know how to take care of ourselves when our supplies ran out. I'm glad to hear that! I came to the same conclusion awhile back. Right now I'm using up my stored food, at least for awhile, because I'm having a very financially tight month. Living on a fixed income is tough but what I stored up helps immensely in times like these. I'm not worried about survival. I was for a time because of my grandchildren but at 70 what in the world can I help them with that their mom can't do; at this point I would be a burden rather than an asset. So I'll do what I can to help myself in emergencies like this and trust God to take care of the rest. I feel my spiritual preparation is more important than anything right now. Looking forward to more content from you!

AMEN!! Our spiritual preparation is so important! I am enjoying spending morning time with the Lord every day. It has been such a blessing and I find myself less and less concerned with the troubles of the world and more concerned about what He thinks of me. God bless you in your financial situation. Wow, this is so timely. Just got out of my prepper pantry-spare bedroom closet-and was just wondering WHY do I have all this food and I am not using it. I will always believe in preparedeness but I think I have gone a bit too far. I am making a concerted effort to rotate what I have and alter how I go forward to keep from wasting time/money/food. It's amazing how some of us are being called in completely different directions. We have to ask, but we also have to clear our minds of the way we think our calling should look. He can't answer us if we fill our heads with so much noise from the fears of, "Gotta do this," or, "What if I don't do that?" Sometimes the answers are things we had never previously considered. At least that's the way it was for me. I had to give up my preconceived notions of what I should be doing and ask God what He wanted me to do. The answer completely surprised me, and the results have been so much better than anything I could've achieved on my own, without relying only on Him.

Helping others is an attitude that few preppers consider at all. On the other hand, as soon as I get rid of most things, someone will need them.Having them is my way of being ready to help others. We have always had extras and been ready for bad weather, layoffs, illnesses, family moving in unexpectedly, unexpected guests or expenses, and always did well through it all. Now, I am l more prepped because of our health being precarious, and for soaring prices. If we have problems getting about, I want to do well, and be able to help anyone who needs to join us her. Our door is open to family, who come in and out. Those who are prepping for 30 years of famine, 'Mad Max' situations, are off-course, and are fearful of not being in control. No one is ever fully in control. It is a fallacy.Only God is in control, and the rain falls on the just and the unjust. I do not think that things will be bad for a long time. I think they will be allowed or encouraged to be bad so that people beg for control. It will come, and all we can do is our best for ourselves and those around us...and pray that the Lord will show us His will in it all. You may have better weather there than in Tennessee or Iowa! Both can be quite volatile. God bless you.

Thank you for such a well thought out response Tonette. That is something that has bothered me for awhile is the every man for himself syndrome that overwhelms society. I enjoy being able to help others, so I don't see that ever changing about myself. Yes, extra is good and excess is not. It's all about finding that balance. I still have a large pantry and I still have some long-term food storage just in case, but the obscene amounts of "things" will not continue. I'll talk more about all of this in future videos, this one was long enough 😆 God bless you too!

I wonder what would have happened to Joseph and his family if he would not have told pharaoh about his dream 7 years of good harvest and 7 years of famine and then to store 7 years of grain I dont think it would have gone so well. With this being said I think like Joseph we need to store as much food as possible not only for our immediate family but neighbors and friends. You do what you want sister but as for me and my family we are going to continue to stack it. God Bless

I used to think the exact same way, but the difference is God spoke specifically to Joseph to store 7 years. We can't just pick one story out of the Bible and try to apply it. It's easy enough for all of us to do that with anything we want to excuse. This is my personal conviction and each person needs to be led by God to do what they feel is right. If you feel God is telling you to store up 7 years, that's between you and Him. For me, He was saying let go of some of this. God bless!

My loved one is in hospice. HARD STOP on anything "prepping"- can't stand that word. All that time spent stockpiling, making lists, organizing...ugh.. My heart hungers for more time to hug, laugh, b present. I'm grateful for NOW...💔

Could not agree with you more ... excellent video. We are in some kind of learning process as well and realizing things. As the Bible says, there are many members in the body and each has a specific job. None is better or worse than the other ... just a different purpose. Our process started the day the tree hit our home. We realized that all the preps we, or anyone else has, can really be lost very quickly. For us, the key is balance and moderation ... it's important to know what is happening but also knowing there are many things that cannot be controlled. God is Sovereign and His will and timing will happen despite what we do or don't do. We are still learning and trying to discern His will. God is faithful and we press on, one day at a time. Amen! God is faithful and we have to take it one day at a time. In fact, there is a verse that talks about each day's troubles is sufficient for itself. I think experience is the best teacher and honestly, we can't experience anything if we close ourselves off and hide in a bunker somewhere. We were meant to enjoy life. As we begin to lean into the Lord more, He will reveal these things to us. God bless ❤️
