The upside to rewatching things is that you can pick up on what you'd missed the first time; there's also the fact that, because you have additional context, you're able to appreciate things more.

@Jackson-ub1uv2 ай бұрын
@@Jayfabri575 It's always great when you can go "oh, I see it now." A good example for me is the episode of Doctor Who "World Enough and Time". When it first aired, I was caught so off guard by the ending, but now I get to revel in the ways it was hinted at. In this instance, it was the identity of Mr Razor and what he and the hospital were doing; the character of Mr Razor is basically a demonstration of how easy it is to hide who you are, with things as simple as a beard, shabby clothes, and crooked teeth being enough to fool me.

Cleaning up your mess in a fast food restaurant is a really good litmus test for me as to how good of a person you are. Same with not leaving a mess in the cinema, putting your shopping trolley back properly (doesn't really apply to the UK), or even if you stack all of your plates and shit neatly at a restaurant or not. Cleaning up your mess at a fast food restaurant is easy, clears your table so someone else can use it after you, and makes the staff's jobs easier. It is objectively a good thing to do. But its not illegal to not. no ones gonna arrest you or fine you if you don't. No ones gonna stop you from leaving. But on the other hand, you also don't get a reward if you do. no one is going to praise you for it. And in the end, staff eill come along and clean it up after you are gone, regardless if you did do it or not. You are doing it purely because its a good and decent thing to do.
@tobiasbayer48662 ай бұрын
Yeah, Im confused. Where Im from you get your order on a little tray and when you are done with it you put it in a little trolley which are usually located near the exits or scattered around the place. Every fast food place Ive ever been to has this, even little ones at train stations, unless they only serve takeout. I thought this was a universal thing, do they not have that in the US?
@LilRumi2 ай бұрын

Exactly, when I was a teen, my mom would leave her messes, EVERYTIME. cinema too, she'd leave her popcorn and drink on the floor cuz "it's their job" and at restaurants she'd leave plates unstacked and napkins everywhere. She'd get irate with when I'd pick up after her outta respect. Now, as a 21 year old adult, I cannot STAND leaving messes, as you said, I judge peoples character based on how they treat service workers and picking up their filth.
@phoneboxchicken41082 ай бұрын
I've worked in fast food places on the shift when people are stumbling out of pubs and clubs so i know what it's like. I clean up after myself and try to be a decent customer. To leave the place in the state of the photo is an arrogant way of saying "You pick up my crap, you peasant" to the worker.
@scottdixon25052 ай бұрын
I completely agree with you. However with the cinema one, I just wanna point out that my local cinema literally has multiple signs up telling people to leave their rubbish on the seats etc. I think in their mind it makes it easier to clean up than people potentially chucking it somewhere in the lobby or something

I actually really hate beach holidays. Something about feeling obligated to relax and stay at the beach in the sun, because you're often stuck in a small town or even the hotel's territory, since there's not much around, really annoys me. It sort of makes me feel claustrophobic in a way, especially if it's an island. I'd much rather have to walk long distances and have the choice of landmarks I want to see or museums/cafes/bars I want to visit than be stuck laying around all day surrounded by families with children running around (that the parents often times don't care enough to manage) and creepy old men staring at girls in bikinis.

Eventually I realised that I didnt actually liked those girls. I liked the idea of liking someone and my perfectly crafted day dream crushes could never be as good as the actual ones because real people are imperfect and you have to work for emotions. Growing up and learning English in school and through media, I’ve always wondered why the English language, compared to other European languages, doesn’t have an official 2nd person plural pronoun. Why make ‘You’ both singular and plural. Using “You” as a plural always sounds like you still need to add “all” to it to prevent confusion and miscommunication. Like why make socializing even more awkward lol

My late mum couldn’t see the point in watching anything twice. Bought a video recorder in 1983 and only ever used it for timeshifting. Even stuff she watched in the 1960s, she couldn’t see the point in watching it again years later.

4:33 that OP does know that flipflops are waterproof, right? In the Army, they're even called "shower shoes"

Pickles are the best pat of any meal. I mean they just add that extra flavour to a burger and are a great side that matches with anything. Try dipping they in ketchup and you will understand where I am coming from.

16:43 I kinda agree with this one. If a show/movie is an absolute masterpiece, I’ll end up watching it multiple times but rewatching anything less than a 10/10 just feels like a waste of time.

I would definitely rank an exploratory vacation well above a beach holiday. Experiencing new landscapes, biomes, cultures et cetera can well be worth a little effort. Going to a hotel in some hot place and suffering due to awful food, drunkards and the temperature itself can never compete with just relaxing at home though.

Tbh I do the same as the first post I could spit it out but it’s kind of force of habit now, I should perhaps unlearn the toothpaste-swallowing

im the opposite to your last point as i hate beach holidays. i like to go to towns and stuff to explore. beach holidays are just too much of a faff with all the sand and whatnot and the heat is usually horrible and too warm ^^

Honestly I agree with the food one partially because I genuinely would not eat if I didn’t have to, bare in mind I’m autistic and have AFRID and eating is something I always have been iffy with, I don’t usually eat until I’m physically sick from hunger because I just don’t have a want or a need too personally I’d love a world where eating and drinking was optional instead of a necessity for survival

You don't need a wallpaper on your pc. I use a solid black colour as one, it keeps the desktop clean and modern. A single solid colour wallpaper can fit into any theme or style.

As a person with bad tooth genetics (most of my brothers have pretty shitty teeth) and a fully broken tooth, I WISH teeth fell more often than literally only once ever. Or at least that those teeth dropped way later. It would take a lot of pressure out of having to take perfect care of your teeth all the time
