This is MIT and I want to be a part of MIT. This comment will be a source of motivation for me to improve myself much more to applying to MIT. I believe I will come and reply "I succeed" after high school. Correction: Today(26.02.2024), 7 months have passed since this comment and a lot has changed during this time. The following has happened since then: I founded a startup related to educational technologies, Our startup got accepted from the largest incubation center in my country, We founded a company to fund our startup and started selling electronic products, Then, we opened a new branch of our company and started producing electric motors. Currently, many robotics teams in our country have placed their pre-orders and are waiting us for delivery. Sometimes it gets hard but everytime I burn out, I remember this comment and keep working!

I believe in you!!!!!!! Remember that even if you don’t get in in undergrad you can always try for grad school! I went to an undergrad school which I absolutely loved but it wasn’t anything special, probably would rank below your easiest safety school. I worked really hard there and I just got into Harvard medical school yesterday! (ignore this channel it’s an ai project I’m doing). All that said though you got this!

The power of science and especially engineering lies on theory as well as on the practical...so to be a great research institute ,the quality of labs of that institute holds the utmost importance....mit ocw is great initiative but only presents theory and lectures,as a viewer you never get the experience of working in labs of mit which has the worlds best industry - academia linkage and that is what makes mit different from a great institute to best institute

IITians who got into race and after getting admission realized they wanted to go into research promoting institute like MIT, but not were aware about it, put your attendance here!!!!! ✋✋✋ I realized that I wasted my 3 years to prepare for JEE ADV and got admission in IIT instead I should have prepared for top foreign universities because my interest in towards research and in depth knowledge instead of just mastery in theory and no practical work

Most of the research foundations for all these awesome creations are done by masters, phd and postdoc students so you haven’t wasted your 3years because you developed a very strong foundation preparing for JEE. Also these institutes get multi billion dollars worth of grants and have highly influential tieups with industries which acts as a significant catalyst for innovation.

Very few percentage of Americans are genuinely interested in studying, America is lucky they still have young people who prioritize their education over anything. Because most of the teens are busy getting pregnant, social media influencers, doing dRuGs. Even if they are poor they won't choose education as their escape from poverty, and those who are rich brats with money don't even consider education as basic need. Good luck to you and your future.

MIT is awesome. But it is not like you're awesome only if you're part of MIT. APJ Abdul Kalam didn't attended MIT and many others too. So it is like if you had/have the resources to prepare and money for the fee, you can join. Else you can try other things and be on your own way. It's sad that nowadays young people are more (or only) interested in becoming entrepreneurs and influencers. Nobody is interested in techs and science as they used to a decade ago. Only few startups are working on new technology and research rest are just copying others and choosing easy path. In my opinion this should change.

getLocation is probably a function that processes sensor data and returns a location.
