Had this same problem a little rock salt used for making icecream. Just put a couple tablespoons down the drain and it will melt the ice.

A french toast recipe thatbive used for years has 3 eggs, a pinch of salt, 1/4 tsp sugar, milk, cinnamon is optional. Lately ive begun adding a bit of baking powder. Fried in butter.

Jeremy, just a suggestion with your drain problem. You can box that area off and put insulation on the inside to keep the draft off from all your piping. I believe that should work. I’ve done that to a couple houses here in Michigan that had that problem in their crawlspace I boxed the area and insulated the inside and they Have not had any more problems. As far as I know I have not gotten a call back so that tells me that they haven’t had any problems for a few years now….. Stay Safe and Warm my friends 🇺🇸👊🏼👊🏼✌🏼🪚🔨

I think when the weather is better I would pick a couple of crawl space paths and remove a bit more dirt to make it easier and safer for crawling. As we age and get thicker there might be a problem. Lol Hugs from Santa Barbara. 🤗😘🫶🙏🍷🌹

The only place the drain has water in it is the trap. I used heat tape and melted the pipe. I just wrapped the trap real well and had no more problems. Great job

I make the French toast like yours but when you flip it the first time I add a slice of cheese and make the best grilled cheese sandwich ever and add maple syrup as always. Give it a try. It’s fab❤❤🎉happy new year.

Ahh, the memories of working in a mobile home park, thawing pipes in the dead of winter. (9yrs) Sewer pipes were the worst, especially when they were frozen solid. Do yourself a favor and put up at least a plastic wind block around the trap besides insulating it. Oh, and that heat tape head, the black part is the thermostat and should be taped to the side of the trap at the lowest point and should only be taped on the ends of the control module leaving the sides of the thermostat exposed. The way my Mom taught me to make French toast was to add some milk to the eggs. Cinnamon was optional. No sugar or salt. The milk may have been a means to stretch the eggs., not sure, but it’s how we do it. Good job, Jeremy! Got to keep that mermaid hydrated!

I use thicker slices of French bread that is getting dry-ish. Soak it longer. Pepper. I will try vanilla next time for sure! I bet raisin bread would be tasty too.

suggestion? take five gallon bucket cut out section for drain pipe put insulation in or around trap then secure bucket either blocking it up or stap so it covers trap to protect from cold outside air

Maybe fell a couple of trees and just put the log at the bottom of the exterior walls to close up that gap then you will always have some wood to use in the summer. Or build a box around that trap.

I saw that the black thermal sensor was not in contact with the pipe. I have always been told and read that if you make sure that is in tight contact with the pipe it will turn the heat one when needed and off when it is not.

Thanks, the tape is constantly on though cause it is freezing. I have been checking it. Having said that, the whole setup is temporary, I gotta get insulation on there and block the draft too.

personally add whole milk or half and half to the eggs vanilla cinnamon use older bread ( not fresh) ends up similar to bread pudding but not quite and cook on griddle

I use 4 eggs, 1/4 cup of milk. No salt or sugar. Sometimes I use Vanilla and/or Cinnamon. I also use Sourdough French bread. My pan holds three slices of bread.

that sucks.. can you staple up a strip of tyvek or plastic for skirting and put some rocks on it .. its cold down here too.. not that bad but... ... you could make a savory type egg bread with onions and peppers... stay warm if you can

A heat cable needs to be combined with insulation, the heat output is too low to work reliably without.

Well gee wiz. That was a funny joke story at the intro. However I would guess that the video editing needs a bit polishing. I'm sure it's never intended to present an almost plumber butt, or any other unexpected view which might be a good candidate for some pixcellation. I understand times have changed, but whatever happened to the family friendly Version In your past videos. But who am I, I'm just one of your many subscribers who loves those family friendly contents. I HOPE you won't be mad at me? About the french toast, your list of ingredients are the same as I do except I have one twist to mine sometimes.. I may use a a couple tablespoons of sour cream to beat into the egg mixture and a 1/4 tsp of nutmeg too. Oh I almost forgot, the best bread for french toast would be either Texas toast, or Challah bread. I use enough bread slices to soak up all the egg mixture as ya can save some soaked slices in a container for another day, I might suggest putting a piece of waxed paper between those slices close container and freeze.
