Did you try lightly taping the starter with a hammer or heavy wrench? If possible have someone try to start it wile you tap the sides of the starter, that would dislodge the brushes inside the motor allowing it to turn over again. This mostly happens with older starters but with pressure washing you may have pushed a bunch of dust/debris inside. I think if you can start it that way it may be ok and blow the debris out as long as you keep it running up to working temperature. worth a try as it is free to try.

Well done Joel. As the saying goes, this is a masterclass in how to deal with problems, frustrations and unexpected events. You do what you can, extensively (I can't believe all the work you did just to rule out electrical problems!) but you got there, and now the new starter is on its way. As a total non farmer (other than I grew up in a farming community) I'm starting to see the progress on the hay barn. Hang in there guys...the Hay Barn Will Be Built!!!

The bug is called an wheel bug. Also called an assassin bug. They will bite and have been told that it really hurts and can last a while. I came across one in 2023 in my garden. Suppose to be a beneficial insect.

I was thinking the same thing as the owner of the backhoe. For the first time operating a backhoe. You really did an amazing job Joel. Sorry about your back Gavin. Earthwork is very hard on your body especially, neck and back. You could use concrete stake and sink them into old straw bales. Lined in a row on the high side of roads, or slopes where water comes running down slopes during flooding rains to control flood erosion. You can also buy premade rolls of straw in 6" wide round netting. That is staked in the ground to divert flooding rains but I'm sure they are pretty pricy. You could also divert the water up near the barns using staked bales and have the water flow over towards Petey's, if his family is ok with that.

Grammy made tacos. Mmmmm, I love homemade tacos. I hope Gavin's back is better now. It's been 13 days so I'll just say a little healing prayer that everything is fully healed now. Hamburgers or hot dogs is situational for me. I live in an apartment so there are no hot dogs on a grill. That being said, a 7-11 Big Bite does have it's time and place. When I want a hamburger, I go to the local steak and cheese place. They make good burgers, the kind you look for when you have a hankering for beef.

Solenoid. If it doesn’t work, the starter won’t either. Use a big screwdriver with insulated handle to connect the two cable posts which will send power to the starter, bypassing the solenoid. I’d double check this with your dealer first as your tractor has a lot of electronics.

Take the starter solenoid wire off of the starter and put a hot wire to it to see if the starter will turn the engine…I can’t see the starter being the problem…more likely not getting power to the solenoid wire
