@@basketballreachidk that they will even need a play in if everyone stays healthy. There isn’t another team in the east with this much young talent. Their youth may cause them some issues this year but if they can hold onto a lot of these guys next year and the year after they could become a very real threat as they create a real winning culture.

Brandon Miller is everything you want in a modern SF. Fast, lengthy, strong and an above average 3 PT shooter. The thing I love about Miller the most isn’t even his jumpshot, it’s his energy. He’s the picture perfect example of what veteran players refer to as player that still has their “rookie legs” or “young legs”. I say this not just from studying but from my experience as an athlete. Almost every standout speed/agility athlete has a point in their adult life when their stamina, testosterone, endurance, etc, is at its natural peak (this isn’t counting training or conditioning) and it also usually applies to athletes who have yet to sustain serious injuries or general wear/tear that would hinder their athleticism. Brandon Miller is in that window right now, and all you have to do is watch him for 10 games to see it. the same could be said about Fox,ANT, SGA, and Mitchell. Insanely athletic players that are still sitting at their athletic peak. Mitchell is probably coming to the end of his given his age, but that just shows you how long miller could be this energizer bunny type of player for depending on future injuries. It’s not surprising MJ drafted Miller, because MJ fit that same mold in discussing, the mold of a ridiculously athletic player that’s in their athletic peak, and can use their speed/agility/stamina to simply force a play that wouldn’t have been possible for less athletic players. Kobe, Iverson, etc. There was a lot of them throughout NBA history including John Wall, young D. rose and Giannis

Id like to see lamello ball and brandon miller as pg and 2 guard on the spurs. Having a hardnosed coach like pop i think would do wonders for those 2. They have the talent to be a dominant pg and 2g duo on both offense and defense i dont think they naturally have the mentality to be tho.

I'm still confused on how the Hornets are now the Pelicans, and the Bobcats are the Hornets instead. Been a while since I followed the basketball scene.
@basketballreachАй бұрын
Omg hahaha. Well when the Hornets moved to New Orleans the name Hornets didn’t mean anything to the city of New Orleans. Meanwhile Charlotte didn’t like the name Bobcats and lest be honest their jerseys were ugly AF. So once New Orleans changed their name to the Pelicans because Louisiana is the pelican State, the people of Charlotte decided to have a rebrand also
@YungGrandsonАй бұрын
original hornets owner moved the team to new orleans because he fell out of grace with the city over some sexual assault accusations and some shady business so he moved the team to new orleans. Charlotte won a bid for a new expansion team after that which became the bobcats, under new ownership. Then when Michael Jordan bought the team he rebranded them back to the Hornets. The best thing Michael Jordan ever did for the team.

If Lamello can grow up and actually start playing and taking care of himself the team should be at least a .500 club. But I fear it’s one step forward two steps back for Charlotte, like always. We’ll see tho, we’ll see. At this point th e hornets are just a developmental team, stashing players for future trades of signings to teams with actual playoff hopes.

@ktdagoat1289Ай бұрын
It’s literally the only injury that’s sat him out both seasons he missed… Ankle braces give your ankle the proper position and help build strength.. It is that simple.. If you think it’s deeper well I’d point to Steph Curry.. His first 4 seasons are pretty much the same as Melo.. Had crazy impact when on court but ankle injuries keep harming him.. He’s wore ankle braces after his 4th year and never had the injury again.. Melo probably will be in this lane..
