The Sea of Cortez video was gorgeous. The water blending with the sky - like it just went on forever. The flying fish, the abandon area, the seashells - Sweet Sadie and her massive wood toy... :). Just fantastic (aside from the flies!). Thanks for the lovely vacation. America, as well as many other countries, have changed dramatically over the last 4 years. This has taken it's toll on certain freedoms and the bodies, minds and spirits of the people. But that's a discussion for another day. Meanwhile...we must all do what you do. Appreciate the present and find joy in it.

I've spent quite a lot of time in Mexico. I recall after one long stay I was driving home and stopped at a highway rest stop outside of Bakersfield, CA. I chuckled to myself when I found the restroom was clean, nothing was broken, the toilets had seats on them and there was even toilet tissue provided ! Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy Mexico, but it does require some adjustments.

Hi Carolyn, I'm an American international school teacher living and teaching in China for the past eight years (prior to that I lived in Mongolia for three years). When my daughter graduates from high school here, I will retire from teaching (but tutor online) and go full time RV! We still have three years left in China, though. I discovered your channel after you visited Terlingua, Texas- one of my favorite places in the USA. Watching your channel is my happy place. My teenage daughter watched some with me, recently of you shopping at the grocery store in Canada. She thought I was nuts to be so enthralled by an ordinary grocery store trip. I thinks she's nuts for watching videos of other people playing video games (not playing them, just watching others play them). So we decided we understand each other better. Your RV travel videos are my virtual RV fix! I really enjoy the quiet moments and scenery as much as your narration. Thank you so much for creating this channel and these videos. They bring me inspiration. I recently became a member to show my appreciation.

Have loved these videos of Baja. I love my USA (I’m a 72 year old female and I’ve left a few comments here and there thru these years with u), and the freedoms I enjoy vs so much of the world, but yea, it no longer looks or feels like the USA I grew up in. Makes me very sad . Fear has replaced the joy in so many people’s lives. I too loved Mexico, the people and the desert beauty. But I’m not brave like u. BUT I AM working g on it cause I need to b and feel more independent with traveling solo . You do ‘nature’ perfectly, the photography is stunning and I love that u capture the beauty in even the simplest of what life has for us out there. Take care. Sadie girl, you have the perfect life. 🐾❤️🐾

It's nearly the same temperature all year... just a dry or wet season... I miss them both!!

Tons of coyotes here in Arizona where I live too . I walk my dogs about 2 hours a day. Recently they have taken an interest in one of my dogs that is about Sadie's size. My other dog is huge. I became very concerned so I purchased a can of Mace. It won't hurt the coyotes but can save your dog in an emergency ambush. Just a suggestion. ❤

When traveling in the states, every Discount Tire store has free air fill stations, that can accommodate most RVs and they do it for you. They're the only place I buy my tires. On the east coast, mostly NY, their stores are called Dunn Tires...same company. FYI...The bucket under the hose was to allow the fuel to flow better...not a leak.

Proper Pronunciation for Ocotillo: Oak oh tee' oh Tucson, Arizona native here, in the Sonoran Desert. :) Deer and other animals eat the blossoms, and folk add the blossoms to salads or eat them from the stalk. Deer stand on their hind legs to reach the tall blossoms, and small creatures climb the arms of the Ocotillo to get to them. :) One might not think we have deer in the desert, but we do, Mule Deer are the largest, then Whitetail, then the diminutive Coues Deer. We have all 3 species at Sabino Canyon, along with Cougar and the full Sonoran Desert complement of creatures, and believe it or not, sometimes Black Bear come down from the higher reaches of the Catalina Mountains, the tall and beautiful range to our immediate north. :) (For a peekaboo of Sabino Canyon and our area, you're free to see my Tucson playlist.) The yellow blooms alongside the road you were traveling were Brittlebush. :) Amazing though it is, I've never been to Baja, though many Tucsonans regularly made the jaunt down to Rocky Point for the fishing and enjoyment. I've been watching your recent videos, and enjoying them, thank you! P.S. 13:08 That's a beautiful plaid gauze top you were wearing, great color combo! Looks cool and comfy. :) 16:57 What are those??!

Living her I just got used to the laws and rules and the control our country is putting on every America. NO choices, I have to agree or go to jail. Ha, The freedom you experienced is almost like it was when I was growing up the freedom of our little ranch town. Not the city life. Now the laws and lawyers own us. It will be interesting to see what happens this year in your life and if you are able to make the trip again next year. thank you

What I miss about van life in the US are the turn outs, rest areas, panoramic overlooks boat launch ramps and all the attendant picnic tables and roadside sitting areas. We’re in Colombia and it’s almost impossible to find a spot to just pull over and stare at the incredible Andes peaks and canyons as the roads are wedged inside cement drains and you can’t get out even if there is a flat area. That’s what I’m looking forward to when we get back from South America. Weird huh?

Thank you for sharing your amazing trip with us. I really enjoyed everything you shared with us. It seems one big takeaway is that the people are more free in Mexico. Poor but more free. Petrol/gas and diesel cost a fortune in Germany. And South Africa. Isn't that what we all want. Not dangerous freedom, just to be free to live how we want to. Incredible nature out there. Thanks for showing us the shea shells, there were some beauties. I love to look at the pebbles, sand, drift wood, shells, flowers, plants, etc. The jumping fish and dolphins were amazing. Sadie deserves a good life and your are really giving her the best life a dog could have. You can see you love eachother. She is such a good dog, I love her. She is very smart and loves to run free and explore. She was super smart to warn you about the Cayotes. I thought the end of your trip was going to have some sort of military danger going on, or an attack that you or your group experienced to make you run for the border, or maybe fleeing from people chasing you. 😮 I'm glad it wasn't anything dangerous. Just the Mexicans partying in full force on the streets it seems. It was too noisy, chaotic and crowded. Sometimes, you have to listen to your intuition if things don't feel right. And now you are all safely back in the USA. Great going. It was a good idea to travel safely in a group with good bestlies. I hope you can take a rest. Fix and check everything on the vehicle. You went through some tough experiences. The vehicle sinking into sand and it took a hammering getting out. Potholes, rough sand roads, and general wear snd tear. Clean the vehicle inside and out. Wash everything. Sadie probably also needs a good bath after all her escapades. Repack and reorganise. I like to do that after a trip. Take everything out our camper van and clean after a long trip. The last long trip we did was to Italy last year in July 2023. I haven't actually cleaned out our van since the trip. I need to do it as soon as the weather gets better in Germany. The cold, rain and mud have been relentless for more than 6 months. So, while we were in Italy at Lago di Garda, we were hit by a freak weather event. Hail the size of golf balls and tennis balls came down after 11pm at night. That ruined our vehicle and trip. It took 4 months to get the insurance guys out, and get the vehicle fixed. I had to rush back to school so didnt have time to get stuck into the vehicle. It is time for a huge clean and maintenance check now that spring is here. Have a good rest and time back in your own country. Hugs to you and Sadie from Germany. 🤗🌅💗🌵🐕🦺⛱️
