“Territories” is one of those songs, that lyrically, explain the WHOLE HISTORY of man/humans in this world in a little over 6 minutes. Done so specifically, anonymously that you can imagine any point in history that it applies too, from RIGHT NOW backwards, and unfortunately forward too backwards. Unbelievably so relevant and killer music that fits the mood of the lyrics.🤘🖖✌️🎸🥁🎹🎤🥇🇨🇦🎼

This concert footage is from a live video called “A show of hands” which was a compilation of their previous tours culminating with the Hold Your Fire tour. This was them just before the 90’s. YYZ was the second song you heard in this video.

This was recorded while touring for their 1987 “Hold Your Fire” album. “A Show of Hands” was a compilation of performances throughout that tour, and the video was just the two nights in Birmingham, England. The audio version has tracks recorded in several states within the United States.

Hello! This is my first time watching your videos, they're very enjoyable. The pedals that you sometimes see Geddy step on, are called Moog Taurus pedals. They provide some of the very low bass notes. He also uses pedals to trigger samples, as does Alex. Before the recording of Power Windows, which the song TERRITORIES is taken from, Neil had acquired a bunch of African and exotic drum samples. The album and this song, are full of them. Check out MYSTIC RHYTHMS, from the same show.

The nation state is still a better model to all cultures to be themselves …. We just need to learn to respect each other’s boundaries, and enjoy the diversity. We see the globalist at work now with mass immigration and all the rest of the cultural issues.

Not my favorite Rush album, but this is a strong entry from it. That bass riff is killer, Alex's guitar is tasty, and overall it's a pleasing composition. Good lyrics, too.
