Everything about the overworlds in Sonic 2006 feels so gentle, and so welcoming... from the music and the general aesthetic, to the silly missions like racing Sonic Man... it's as if this game really wanted everyone to have a good time... which makes me feel at ease... until I remember we got an alpha build instead of this... then, I just feel bad, imagining how good a reputation Sonic would've got if the game was as good as it is in this video...

@@Idgasfrrr that’s only a theory. Considering recently the game as well got a patch for 60fps and up to 4k for series consoles and fixed a few things I don’t think they lost the source code. The game is such a big game and unlike generations, it might be slightly more difficult to port. As well, with the bad reception when the game came out Sega might still think everyone hates the game (even though that is not the case). So no, I don’t think they lost the source code but if that’s what you want to think be my guest.

@@CraizyMotion well the 60fps patch thing was from Xbox alone without SEGA'S permission or guidance and it being difficult to port is hard to believe but at least you can say it is an older version of the Hedgehog Engine and SEGA won't rehire the original devs and other studios to port the game to the newer engines or even port the original one just because they can or lack of priority.
