Wow, well done! Last spring I capped four or five of the most difficult years of my life by being suddenly and traumatically thrown into the street. I camped and lived out of my car for several months in cold rainy weather. I was ready to be done, i really didn't think i had the energy to try to start over again. Then a friend who fosters dogs for an adoption agency called and said they had this sweet puppy i should take a look at. I dragged my feet for awhile because I could barely look after myself at the time. Finally I did go meet Emma and we've been together ever since! I'm not exaggerating when I say Emma renewed my reason to live. She got me out of myself and now drags me outdoors several times a day which has also improved my overall health. After Emma came into my life things started falling back together again. We got a place to live and a new chapter has begun. I found so much resonance with your film. Outstanding work!!

Whoa. thanks so much for sharing this, it means a lot to me. You are real-life proof that if you are fortunate enough to find pure love when you are at the most challenging moment of your life, love will be the reason you get to the next part of your life safely, because that's what love does, and unfortunately, dogs do that so much better than people. I'm so happy to hear you are back on track, and I hope you maintain the optimism as much as possible for the rest of your life. So grateful to receive this message. Thank you. This film was hard for me to make and it fills me up to know that it landed exactly where it should have. You're a superhero. Thanks again.

@@RockWILK The tension near the the end of the film was so terrible (in the best sort of way!) I felt this film was so good I shared this with my contacts before I even finished watching it and when I got to the end I thought I might have jumped the gun but was so relieved by the ending! You really had me going there! Yeah, I've often felt if I could be half as good a person as my dog id be doing damn good! I'm glad when I stumble on to something good on KZbin. It boggles my mind that quality stuff like yours struggles with YT and idiotic morons become extremely successful?

@ this was the hardest film to make on so many levels, it was really a challenge for me, and so it really means a lot to me when somebody receives it in the way that you have and actually let me know. And shares it, that’s really the most important part. and so thank you so much, and I’m glad the storyline worked. Lol and sorry to scare you. But that’s kind of real life, I think a lot of people walk right up to that line, but thankfully, I believe most people turn around and walk away and try to figure out a better way. Thanks again so much, and onward we go!

Wow. This definitely makes me feel in ways I haven’t for awhile. The world is caught up in making life into a show, rather than acknowledging it already is one. I remember when I first found my voice as a photographer. This film took me back there. Your vision comes through and tells a story on its own and you can feel the passion for creation. Definitely feeling inspired to take my work and storytelling to a next level in 2025. For me. And for people like us :)

This reminds me of a night long ago - I drove to a certain bridge. Things were just beyond my endurance. I now understand how that can happen- you just want peace, some control. Good work. The soundtrack could not have been any better.

Rock, I watched the film yesterday. It's both heart-breaking and eye opening. As with your other film it's "deceptively" simple at first, and I mean that in a positive way, because you start out with a feeling of simple storytelling but then your style kicks in, and your editing and structure and layering of things just weaves a lot of intrigue and empathy as it goes on. It's a little bit hard because I watch your videos too and you're very honest in those about your personal struggles and frame of mind, so I was worried for you in the film, especially at the bridge that first time. This is brave filmmaking at the bleeding edge really, of what people can do with this technology, and we're lucky it's found its way into the hands of someone with something to say and something to share. Alright, I know I'll watch it again because I had questions that a second viewing will help me with, but for now, just full on appreciation for this film.

Ahh, thank you so much for watching and for the kind words. I appreciate your perspective so much because I love the way you break down films/stories. Deep, layered, you are someone who is obviously a storyteller and who receives a story as an explorer of the journey, which is what every filmmaker/playwright wants and hopes for, and so, thank you so much for that. Much appreciated! Hope you're having a beautiful holiday with your people. ;)

This is the second time I've watched this movie. To be honest, words cannot describe how it made me feel each time I saw this. But, I can say it made me realize how beautiful life can be and how important it is to take in every moment of my life to the deepest level I can. And to acknowledge the people in my life who I love and have loved me. As well as acknowledging those who have influenced me in positive ways. I am grateful that you have shared this story with us. Thank you.

Thanks for watching again, that’s pretty amazing. And for me, this is the best possible review that I could receive for creating something and how it is digested. Means a lot to me, you made my day. Thank you. Onward we go!

Hi Rock, from here how about trying some Jon Jost style of filmmaking? Check him out if you haven't. And keep up the good work. This is what is pure love for cinema.
