I encourage servicemembers to consider a federal career after the military. It continues the service to the country and is decently compensated.

My dad took a civil service job a few years after leaving the Army. He had a huge impact and retired early with a very good pension. However, these days the retirement isn’t what it was when he was working.

I’m not sure if anybody realizes this, but the owner operator truck driver gig would actually be really good for him because a leader ship type of person that drives production and efficiency is the absolute perfect candidate to not only own and operate a truck, but also graduate to the fleet level, where he could have drivers under him, and have a team of drivers which would just create at the end of the day, more money, and free time to be home, but he could still be very involved in the business

I have your book! I purchased it in 2022. I read the 1st 20 pages in 2022. I'll buy the assessment later. Unless it's in the book

I can't get a job that I want, I end up with the jobs no-one would want, it's been 35 years that I've hated my work. Whatever the answer is I haven't found it. I'm just a doormat!

Mark that was me. I had 33 years of total misery in my work life. It was affecting my mental state big time. I found a job at a non profit driving a public transit bus in my rural area. My people love me and I love them! It's awesome when something finally hits you! Bye bye 🏭!!!!! Never never settle, keep searching man, maybe this helps you....

I was at 11 years as an OJT project manager and I did not like who I was working for. They always complained which caused me to complain. I knew I had to get out of there but I just kept it bottled in. Finally, one day I took a day off from work and realized I was trapping myself. When I thought about going back I started having full blown heck anxiety. I found a carpenter who would hire me and I gave two week notice at my employer. One week of working with the carpenter I was in love with the job. Two weeks in I was helping the carpenter create a process plan for his work and streamline the areas that he hated doing (timesheets, communications to employees and customers).
