As usual, the Dodo brings out the ole in home rain showers. Such a precious life and so many wonderful loving people massed around her to help her heal. And in return, she is helping others heal. And aren't those pities such a vicious animal to have. Always tearing into people and other dogs. And that's another thing I like about the DoDo. The disprove that myth, that HUGE lie every day.

All dogs are caring, it’s just the environment they live that makes them aggressive are friendly
@lonelyronin24283 жыл бұрын
@Q R My childhood was filled with pitties, and breeds considered aggressive. Sweetest babies ever. Taz would sit on the stairs beside all the family children and just watch over them. He loved everyone. Deisel was the mischievous one, but he meant well. Always thought he was a lap dog. Bubbles was a absolute mother hen. She went out a mother hen, stopping a venomous snake from getting to close to a family member. Sammy acted like a cat. He groomed himself, sat around in the sun, napped alot, played with string, and hated baths. My current dog, Dean, is a lil yorkie, and Sammy's best friend. Hes old, but Id say he's the most aggressive and dangerous pet I owned. And that's only when you manage to annoy him, which is really hard to do. I got a pittie/ lab mix named Ruby. She's sweet, but you need to cut her nails like once a week. And she's addicted to bananas. So yeah, I reject your statement. Anyone want funny dog stories? I promise they're good.

I would love to know her story, even though it's her current nature that matters. Sometimes knowing what one has overcome helps how you work with her. I have a Chihuahua that came from a very neglected home environment and they were one day from taking her to be euthanized by their choice mind you, because there was nothing wrong with her. We have had her for five years now and she became my therapy dog and knowing how far she has come makes us love and protect her even more. Unfortunately Chicago doesn't have any animal protection laws which for a big city, is such a shame because people get away with treating animals in any way they like!!!!

What a Beautiful dog - inside and out! For the sake of my heart I am ok with NOT knowing the true story of how she got those terrible injuries and of the abuse she suffered - that would be a large weight to carry and scar I don't need in my heart. She carries that memory for us all and proves that her Love and her GREAT strength is so much bigger and stronger than that pain. SO proud of the humans that did not give up on her in the toughest times - we only see brief moments of the early recovery stages... the people who supported her are true examples of what human beings are capable of - not the cowards who harmed this gentle (BUT INCREDIBLY STRONG) animal. I have a similar story about my pit. I went to the shelter in Selma and saw this female pit with only one eye and severe internal injuries. She was also extremely malnourished. The vet estimated her age at about 8 months, but you could pick her up with just your fingers because she was so thin. Her cheeks were sunk in as were her hips and you could see her ribs protruding from a great distance. She reminded me of the pictures of the holocaust victims of WWII! Her stomach was completely shaved and she has a scar from her neck to her crotch from where the vet had to repair her insides. But through all of this she was very energetic and extremely friendly and giving. This dog has a heart of gold! She instantly falls in love with everyone and everything. People, other dogs, even cats. Jewel could fall in love with a blade of grass! I immediately adopted her and brought her home to my other dog and cat. Well that was about 5 years ago and her hair has grown back and I've fattened her up. If not for the missing eye you wouldn't be able to tell anything had happened to her. She still eats grass every time she's outside to settle her stomach but she's still very energetic and very friendly. Even with all the feral cats in the area. They don't get it though! 🤦♂️🤣😂🤣
