Pretty soft response. This is literally the least you could say. If this story is true, it's absolutely disgusting, and the only reason these people aren't getting locked up is because of privileges the average American doesn't have. This country needs greater accountability to the rich and famous.

The way most people in football circles are talking about this (Rich included) just goes to show the unhealthy obsession we have with celebrity culture. Favre would have had to know the full depth of the corruption, which I doubt he did. I don't see him being in the loop with the Governor and Welfare guy Davis as they plot to take money for a handful of famous people from a foundation. It could have been plotted long before Favre was in the picture. To me it seems like Bryant and Davis conjured this up themselves. Its not that clever and they are in a control position to manipulate everything whereas Favre and others they gave money to are outside the box getting the handout.

Rich, I’m a fan of the show. I like how you use your platform. I think back to the multiple times you ripped Deshaun Watson apart (rightfully so IMO) and I compare it to this Favre situation and there’s actually a pretty stark contrast. Watson was “vile” and a “predator”. Would you not say the same about Favre in this case? Because ultimately what this came down to in both situations is rich/powerful people using their influence to take from innocent people. You want to know the difference? While Watson’s situations were allegations, Favre’s situation has actual text messages trying to cover it up! Who cares if it was or wasn’t illegal? It was still morally wrong. Watson didn’t face any criminal charges, but anyone could see that it was morally wrong. My point, Rich, is keep that same energy.

Favre should be removed from the Hall of Fame for this. Goodell got mad at Gruden for calling him gay and wiped him clean of the NFL history books, then he should definitely do that to Favre.

@@timothy4557 Well if you rip off poor people in order to build a volleyball arena that makes the NFL look bad. If Gruden can have his accomplishments taken away then Favre can as well.

I have always held Favre in high regard, loved him as a player. If this is true, I'm going to see him much differently. Not sure what my feelings will be, this stuff he may have pulled is disgusting. As far as the Celtics coach thing, I don't know how The Eisen Show has covered it or anything else, but the Coach is currently coaching & the Celtics were just in the Finals with a good probability of going back, so that could be why the media coverage is different?

Farve did it there’s no question about that. The only question is will he be criminally charged for his crime? ALL the evidence of a crime and a attempt to cover up a crime is there. Should be interesting.

Rich you better be cautious about the Favre thing. He has a lot of legal resources and hasn’t been convicted of anything yet. Don’t set yourself up for a libel lawsuit.
@rdot980

Stating facts and giving an opinion cannot set you up for libel. Plus Favre has the ability/resources to make whatever statement he wants and be heard, so it would be even harder for him to win a libel lawsuit.

There's no maybe to it. Federal prosecution wouldn't even OFFER a plea bargain without full cooperation from the defendant. That's how the Feds work. So if he is pleading guilty, he has already sung his song and if later its found out he lied or omitted pertinent evidence, his plea bargain is automatically withdrawn and he is recharged. Eliminates the "just give em a little bit" scenario.
