You forgot to shake the containers of additives first. If left standing for even a day or so, the additives can settle differently, and you will fail to obtain the proper mix. Stir or shake the jars to to mix ingredients properly.

This also illustrates how crappy diesel fuel is from the pump. Fuel suppliers should add anti gel to their fuel before selling to their stations. I helped a guy years ago that was having obvious gelling issues. I gave him a bottle of power service in the white bottle and he was able to get his cummins started and on up the hill he was climbing. Also think about the lack of lubrication in our fuel today. The Diesel Podcast has the guy from hot shot secrets on there and he explains how our current fuel needs additional lubrication. The wear scores are pretty telling
