"Great relationships are an accumulation of little efforts over time". This is so true! Me and my love we have created habits and rituals to keep each other close even if we are apart, and it really works because we show each other appreciation every day. And really the attraction lies in those little things. This is some great advice Matt, thank you so much and keep up the great work!

1st Take: "My advice to women is date all of them: the bad boys, the cool boys, the commitment-phobic boys, the crazy boys. But do not marry them. The things that make the bad boys sexy do not make them good husbands. When it comes time to settle down, find someone who wants an equal partner. Someone who thinks women should be smart, opinionated and ambitious. Someone who values fairness and expects or, even better, wants to do his share in the home. These men exist and, trust me, over time, nothing is sexier." Yours sincerely, Sheryl Sandberg, chief operating officer of Facebook 2nd Take: “My music is always going to make a woman feel like a bad bitch. When you make a woman feel like she’s the baddest bitch in the room, to me, that’s female empowerment.” Decently yours, Cardi B. My Humble Take: What most simps, feminist fe/males, white-knights, betas and conservative guys fail to realize: bad boys provide excitement, novelty, unpredictability and fun (fear, roller-coaster drama) to a new level. In other words, stability and commitment (no longer) won't cut it for today's 🦄. Why is that? Before she was your girlfriend, wife or lover, she already had been "run through" so many guys. And each time she slept with someone (both wo/men), she lost a part of her psyche, well-being or mind/soul/spirit. In other words, she is no longer able to have emotional attachment in a healthy or committed way. *Silent Weapons for Quiet Wars: An Introductory Programing Manual* by Anonymous *The Rational Male Series* by Rollo Tomassi *The Manipulated Man* by Esther Vilar *The Myth of Male Power* by Warren Farrell *The Feminist Lie: It Was Never About Equality* by Bob Lewis *Anatomy of Female Power* by Chinweizu Ibekwe *Men on Strike* by Helen Smith Proverbs 31:3 Don't give your strength (attention, resources, mental point origen) to women, nor your ways to that which destroys kings. Isaiah 3:12 *Childish* leaders oppress my people, and *women* rule over them. O my people, your leaders mislead you; they send you down the wrong road.

I remember someone I knew at one point got upset because I was reading the book 'How To Win Friends & Influence People'.. In their view this is a book about manipulation.. I explained to them that the way I see it is this book is a tool... Its up to the individual as to what to do with it.. with a knife someone can prepare a delicious and hearty meal for their friends.. another can take someone's life.. it is the same with everything else including tools for relationships. There is a reason Peter Parker's uncle Ben says 'with great power comes great responsibility' (yes I'm that nerd who quotes comics).. being great at understanding human relationships is a great power.. and with that comes great responsibility

Consistent effort to create good experiences with/for the other person is what makes great relationships great, and makes them last a life time. Too often, people get into relationships (or better yet get married) and then think "Oh I'm done now". The moment you think that, it starts to deteriorate. You have a good body because you consistently workout and eat healthy. You do the reps. Put in the work. Same for a relationship. Do the reps. Be consistent. And you will bare the fruits of your labour with a fulfilling lasting happy relationship with a partner who loves you, but more importantly appreciates you. Absolute Facts. Thanks Matthew, loved this message. A constant inspiration for me and my channel.

You couldn't say it better, I had a relationship like this with someone that used to say that he didn't have to do anything else as he already had me and I guess he thought I wasn't going to go anywhere. It turned out that one day I did, I'm a person that likes to put the effort and I like creating romantic moments but when you realise is just you doing it all the time it becomes exhausting.. at the end, even knowing that he was a good guy and boyfriend, I just didn't feel a romantic connection anymore, he treated me more like a friend
@stayslickwithkit

@@shemseh Absolutely. You can't have a relationship where its one way, even if that person is a good person. We like to be with someone who makes us feel valued, and reciprocation is one way we show that. I'm glad you realised it wasn't working for you and let it go. If you're someone who continues to invest within a relationship you deserve someone who does the same 🔥

It's about adjusting. In the beginning, it doesn't take much to create "a moment" just seeing that person does it. But after you get to know each other better, you can create "moments" for each other because you know what they like or think is fun. We get into trouble when we expect things to remain as they were when we first meet, when that other person was a total mystery, and we jump ship too soon.

‘Romance is listening...creating moments’ 💕💕💕 Great video guys! I am loving these video podcasts- it just ‘levels up’ the average podcast 👌🏻 Romance for me is the beauty in the everyday...simply noticing. It could be lots of tiny gestures that add up to someone feeling seen, or creating romance in your own life...wearing your favourite clothes or perfume, drinking out of a favourite mug, showering to your favourite song, buying fresh flowers for yourself. The most romantic things someone did for me recently was... *made me a mixtape (aka spotify list) of music I hadn’t heard of *allowed me space to be vulnerable *really listened *shared vulnerable things with me -for me, emotional availability is the utmost in romance The most romantic things I’ve done for someone else (in my eyes) were... *Book a weekend away and told them To turn up at the airport with a bag & their passport *’Present-bombed’ friends unexpectedly in the post *Notice when someone’s favourite lipstick (for example) is running low and buy them some *Give compliments to strangers *Engage in conversations / connections /smile at strangers *Send people things I think they’ll like e.g music, articles etc etc

Consistency. Being consistent in any relationship is essential whether it’s romantic, friendship or parenting. We learn other people’s patterns of behaviour in heuristics so we can reliably predict how someone will treat us in the future. This either leads to a secure attachment where we can weather the occasional storm, or it leads to insecure attachments where we live in trepidation. One random grand gesture is not a pattern of behaviour so it can’t provide emotional stability to counteract an established pattern of poor behaviour.

This really resonated with me, and its so true; the effort over time really makes things meaningful. So many just people don't realize it until they start to lose the person they're with. Its really sad, I don't know if its a general laziness or a sense of entitlement, but nothing feels more icky than accidently removing the rose-coloured glasses to discover your partner is kind of just along for the ride and not adding to the story. Something I've been loving about the pandemic is that many people are starting to not take each other for granted as much, and are being more kind and more genuine. Thank you as always, for your inspiring words Mathew and Steven

My relationship is currently dying because I have come to the conclusion that there is a lack of reciprocity. A few months ago I gave my partner some feedback - and I did it badly. I was too blunt and it hurt him. I sincerely apologised and thought we had got past it, and I continued to do little gestures (dropped flowers from my garden around, left a note with a kiss on his car) and did some bigger gestures (took him to the zoo and surprised him with an animal encounter, arranged for a glass of wine and dessert to be delivered to him for his birthday when he was away for work in a country town)… and got very little acknowledgement for these gestures. (I want to point out - these are things I have always done for my partner. Not every day but every 2-4 weeks,). He told me he had been flirting with someone else and had been surprised he had been doing this. I appreciated his honesty but was hurt. I then got super busy with work and I noticed that… he did nothing. There were no gestures. Even though he had said he was sorry he had been flirting and he still wanted to be with me … he made no effort. No notes. No flowers. No… nothing. And slowly I have drawn away and he has done the same. It’s the weirdest ending of a relationship I have experienced.

I was in a beautiful long distance relationship with this guy, saw each other every few months, loved each other very much and used to post each other on social media too. But after 7 months we broke up and deleted posts. We were on and off and now finally a year into relationship are back together but he doesn't want to post our pictures anymore. He acts like he's single on social media. It confuses me so much but when i say it to him, he says that it seems that it's more important for me that People know that we're together than to actually enjoy our love. Basically puts the blame on me. I don't know what to do.

It's painful when you break up with someone and all of social media knows. I used to be in the camp of wanting to show off my love on social media, but now I've switched to wanting to keep that private! I hate everyone knowing when I break up. When I searched deep down why I wanted to share it on social media it was rooted in wanting validation from others, wanting others to think I'm worthy or good in some way since I was able to find love, or to show off to those who rejected me in the past. When you focus on enjoying your love just with yourselves, and only sharing with the people you actually talk to IRL who hear about your love life, it's a lot sweeter! That way you know you're really in the relationship because of how you feel about them, and not for validation.

You should say that it seems like he is embarrassed and is trying to hide the relationship. There is nothing wrong with your wanting to be on each other's social media, it is very normal, actually. To not is the strange thing.

I really agree with Stephens three picks for what romance is in the end of the vid. Incapsules, honestly, whats been on a low in my relationship the times we struggle to communicate and be healthy. Everyone needs to feel appreciated and seen and effort in a genuin way gives that. Strategy is not a bad thing, its a show of commitment and genuin care for the relationship. As long as its not you trying to control (!!) the mood, path or descions of the other. Thats manipulation. You should do elevator pitch-videos on the things people might need to hear (like this) but might not find if they're not actively seeking, you know arent in that place in their life right now to actively seek advice out, like your followers do. Videos we can share with partners to give them an appetite hehe. But personaly I like theese videos the best, being less pitchy and more reflective. Beacasue im nodding my head going "oh yeah thats gold" haha like I would in a conversation with a really great friend. I really enjoy theese videos becoming more frequent. Thank you for being open and sharing your thoughts Matthew and Stephen.

Here's a question -- how would you know if someone is just investing because he sees you as a conquest? And when he finally got you, they reveal their true colours? How do you test? My past 2 relationships are like these that I do not want to fall again for someone who just see me as a conquest.

Sometimes it’s hard to know if other people’s intentions are true & I think that’s what people are afraid of, not the manipulation itself.

If you and your partner has the best in mind for each other, then each partner can undertake the "curating" of the relationship til it becomes a unique synergistic private museum of joy and beauty. Wish I would find someone to create that with.
