I'm at 4:40 right now and figured I would drop this story for you Fooster. When I went to the Niabi Zoo I spoke to a zookeeper about how strong the Orangutans were. When they were reconstructing the orangutans exhibit they were using massive torque drivers to drive 12" screws through logs and into the walls of the exhibit and to fasten them to one another, the construction workers didn't realize that they left the screw and lug nut ends exposed in certain areas and the next day more then 90% of their work was undone. They ended up learning that the orangutans thought it was fun to unscrew the lug nuts by hand and toss them around... the lug nuts were driven into concrete with over 500ft/lbs of torque, and the orangutans used their fingers to unscrew them like it was nothing... apes are nothing to joke with man.

Big apes like gorilla and orangutan are in top 5 or something in mammals world in terms of strength to body mass ratio. Big apes strength really are no joke. There is a tiktok video of an adult male orangutan escaped from the captivity and causing a chaos in a town. It pulled, dragged and tossed away a scooter like it was some plastic chair. My anxiety is skyrocketing at the fact a silverback gorilla is capable to tear a human like a sheet of cardboard.

3rd day of telling fooster, you can heal bleed wounds by stripping horsetail and mashing the leaves with rock as well. Also if you break a rock and make it into a cutter you can sharpen sticks faster, make a cutter and keep it in your camp so that you can get a sharp stick whenever you leave camp

Hey, fooster, I'm loving the series but just a tip for how to counterattack the animals you gotta hold the prime button during the slow-mo part and while holding either a stick or rock you release the prime button once you see that screen go green and there's also a slight sound that you can hear to know when to release and if you do the counterattack correctly you will see your ape hit the animal with the weapon it has in hand.

Some helpful tips: Don't evolve until you reach your 3rd or 4th generation, have at least 4-6(or more) kids in your tribe to avoid problems later on and special stones can be given to any of the Apes you find in the wild to befriend them immediately.

Not sure if you already knew, but you can swing through the foliage. It takes a bit of practice, but once you know how to time it it's really useful to cover greater distance in the trees!

Small tip: the eye in the bottom left hand corner will grey out when you are climbing trees. That indicates you are Hidden. When it turns yellow and starts flashing a red ring around it, it indicates youve been spotted. If its Solid White, you are Safe and Can Be Spotted.

Killing animals gives you a lot of experience points, usually you need 3 spears for a boar and 2 more for a snake. Can't wait for you to the savanna. Great video fooster! Also when you use the spear you will need to make another one quick and stab the animal again

Merry Christmas, Fooster. Loving the series so far. That primal joy of learning something new is SO good. I have a tip for you concerning the big cats - they hunt you. You're essentially on a timer to spawn one as soon as your feet touch the ground. Likewise, in the tree canopy, if you linger (sit still for too long) you will spawn an attacking bird. The only place you're safe is high up off the ground, but below the canopy, and within (most) settlements.

A little tip for the horsetail, you can alter it and should also be usable for bandages as well. Another tip for rocks, use granite rocks (best rock) to smash each other and when you use those to sharpen a stick it'll be much much faster

Now you're making progress! haha More tips: almost everything can me modified with tools or hands, try it always with each different item, switch hands, inspect, etc; modified basalt is the strongest rock and along obsidian is better for fighting, modify sticks, open coconuts, cut meat..., granite can be modified into grinders for some plants; unlock communication neurons so you can give orders to the other clan members to grab items, switch hands and make tools/weapons (IMPORTANT: tell them to carry the weapon/tool with the left hand, if it's on the right they won't be able to eat and will die), then you can take all of them to explore with the 6 babies, they will "learn" and repeat what you do, giving you more neural energy and you'll be able to scare bigger things; take all the babies next to meteors, they get a random mutation unlocking new neurons that you can't unlock otherwise. Once you're able to explore with all the clan carrying sticks it's a walk in the park. This is like watching myself the first weeks i played this game, love it hahah

So the one thing i want to point out is the entire game is kind of based on the Concept that there are visual triggers to know when to do something. just as some examples to perfect dodge you have wait for that flash just like the green flash when crafting or bonding. Same with attacking with a Rock or sharpened stick except you have to be facing what you want to attack

this game is CRIMINALLY underrated. 90% of youtubers and twitchers got their asses kicked and hated on it, as a result it faded very quickly. it is part of a projected trilogy and i predict the second game will be so awesome people will come back to this and realize just how good it is. i can't wait for the next game, Australopithecus and onward is when it will get rather complicated and i am so here for it.

I love this game and it's awesome to see you play it. This game really doesn't like to let you stay on the ground outside that initial area. I was on that cliff above the swamp once and it sent a croc after me. A croc, on a cliff. And yes, predatory creatures will stalk you. The ones outside the group are outsiders you need to help to befriend. To find out what any of the apes need you need to watch them, their actions will tell you what they need. When the darkness starts to enclose the screen that's your character having trouble staying awake.

Fooster, the more clan members you have with you when you use intimidate (as long as the neuron for other members to copy intimidation and conquer fear actions is unlocked) the better intimidation works. IGP intimidated a hippo with his clan when the game was just out of release. The spontaneous neuron for the child was caused by the meteorite. KEEP that neuron because it will allow your clan to eat new food types later in your clan's evolutionary history. Your reinforcements are how you save specific traits. In order to stab attacking predators (if I recall rightly) you have to have the stick in the correct hand first. You CAN take meat from corpses, but you will need a stone chopper tool of one type or another (which I cannot recall how to make atm).

You’ll also have to a later everything you see, keep switching hands, the experience gets passed down through generations which will also respawn all the ingredients and tools you find. If you find a Basalt rock and alter it you cam make a sharpened stick with like 3 or 4 hits instead of like 10 hits. And don't forget, you can attack an enemy with a rock or sharpened stick. But you have to have the weapon in your right hand

This is the only game where u actually need to use your intelligence in such an immersive way, i find myself fully gone primal-mode asking myself everything about how i do things irl and how those very simple actions are the results of milions of years of evolution... just a few tips: -basic needs as water food and sleep, if can see the vitality bar pulsing green that means that action is working (when it's stop means u don't need more of that) -keep inspectioning EVERYTHING! As someone that had put over 80 hrs into this game it is very frustrating to watch. However he is learning fairly quick. It's nice to have the visual ques that go along with it. When I started there weren't any visual. Only audio ques. Great content.
