To use the lenses to an even better extent you could use a speedbooster to adapt the Pentax 67 lenses! Metabones and Kipon make one. They have a 0.7x factor, which gives you an equivalent FoV and DoF of 645 and as an added bonus gives you more light! (f2.8 turns into a f2 in DoF and light transmittance!)

Dof does not change with crop. The image circle is still the same. What changes is the distance, and focus, thus the compression.

I have been shooting on GFX (50r) since early 2020, and I have several P67 lenses which I’ve been using on the GFX via a straight through adapter, AND the Kipon speed boost 0.7x adapter (that others have left a comment on). The speed booster does make a significant different to the ‘look’ that the lenses give you, I love it. I’ve not watched your 35mm lenses on GFX video yet, but I will. I’ve used a lot of vintage 35mm glass on the GFX, the results can be variable, but don’t dismiss the idea if you have tried and failed, it’s worth experimenting a lot. For example, I have the GF 100-200 which I shot a pano with at 100mm, and I compared it to shooting the same pano with an old Olympus 100mm f2 lens (I have a lot of old OM glass). I expected the GF lens to blow the old OM out of the water, but it wasn’t the case. To my great surprise, the OM100/2 (I shot both at f8), gave more consistent results across the frame, there was less vignetting on the OM and the edges and corners were sharper than the GF lens. The GF was just a tad sharper in the centre though, but not enough to really make a difference unless you were closely examining & comparing. For stitched Panos, I’d prefer the more consistent across the frame results from the OM100/2. A lens that does vignette badly (as I expected it to) was the Canon 50/0.95 aka ‘dream lens’, however, I’m still thrilled to be able to use this lens on this body, even if I have to crop down close to a 35mm frame. The bonus for me is that I can just about get away using it in the xpan 65:24 aspect ratio. It’s a marmite lens though, some hate it, some luv it…I value having such a characterful lens in my bag from time to time. I also use a Canon 24 TSE ii a lot on my GFX, works great. I bought the GF50 when I bought the 50r, and up until the end of ‘22, it was my onky native GFX lens, but at the end of ‘22, I added the 100-200, then the 100/2 (not used the 100/2 properly yet), I’ve not used the GF50 much either, because I’ve been try g out so many old manual lenses on the GFX, but it’s good to have a sharp and ‘perfectly’ rendering lens in the bag as well as the ‘more interesting rendering lenses.

I’m using Kipon 0.7X speed booster on my GFX 50S and GFX 100 with SMC 105mm 2.4. This is the digital Pentax 67. Just 105mm 2.4 alone you don’t get the same thing as p67. Also sometimes using my aero ektar lens 178mm 2.5 with infinity adapter on P67. For curiosity I used Kipon 0.7X with 178mm 2.5 aero ektar and it’s fantastic. Bokeh you have never ever seen. Sadly I don’t make KZbin video . But one day I will

You should also try the Pentax 645 manual focus lenses, much more compact and dirt cheap. 645 format is larger than GFX100 sensor, so you are using the sweetest area of the lens

Honestly its way better to invest in vintage lenses (They look better too). 50 Years from now lenses from *1850* -1980? Still working perfectly fine. Any lens with auto focus or electronically controlled aperture? Broken. Just like most vintage camera light meters.

I hear you on traditional manual lenses plus feel vs new lenses which I do love the quality but many contemporary photographers are more concerned with the do everything for you as fast as possible solutions championed by great companies like Sony who in their defense cater development to the loudest customers. My favourite lense on my gfx100s is my 110 but even that, I find myself more deliberately locking off for manually focusing. Adapted lens exploration on the GFX and Hasselblad's X system is soo rewarding for those photographers out there. Pretty much everything can be adapted to everything else these days.

Its interesting how nobody is really interested in new lenses anymore. Photography is really transitioning into a creative medium. Not the Pure photography Nikon shooters have been gatekeeping for generations. Going forward, yeah great 50fps burst on digital cameras. How do you make your work look unique?
