The prep work for Dodge and ice cars are hands-on and needs focus and attention. Plus at a supercharger the Tesla doesnt take 2 hours to charge. It takes 27 min to charge from 20 to 80%. About 40 min from 10 to 90%. 80% SOC (state of charge) is enough to get you in the low 9s.

a stock demon finally like 6 months back hit the factory claimed 9.6 or whatever it was. They just are not as fast as a lot hoped. fully modded with carbon fiber built motors GM turbo 400 trans and they just tap into the 8s. demonology has 100k probably into his 100k demon and runs just into the 8s. Emelia Hartford has about the same in her c8 and runs 9.2 and thats a record. only modern cars gonna win at a dragstip for less money than a plaid is a is going to be a Mustang GT with stock sealed engine can do 1200whp and run 7s pushing it or pretty consistent 8s at 950whp or a v8 f150 you have stock sealed engines running 8s and 9s all day from midnight performance. both the Mustang and f150 can do that for the 30k for the vehicle and 30k for the upgrades. then the gt500 you can get starting at 70k and put 30k into it and have a plaid contender running high8s low 9s and eventually mid 8s with a whipple. so really not mush out there unless you are doing LS or coyote swap. but those are swaps and not manufactured cars with some upgrades.

Numbers are half the story. Winning a drag race or any race for that matter isn't all that a driving experience is about. The plaid is crazy, don't get me wrong. But it's still extremely big and heavy and won't feel as nimble as something that's physically lighter and more aerodynamic. That's the thing about electric cars. They're really really heavy. You forgot to mention the Model S is a 4 door FAMILY SEDAN that weighs 500 pounds more at nearly 5,000lbs. And a purpose built, top of the line, V8 lost. It didn't just lose, it lost by a lot. Now imagine once the roadster comes out and Tesla offers a "proper" sports car to compete with.

Plaid is a production sedan that costs about 140K. Rimac Nevera is an electric hypercar that costs 2M euros, so it's 16X more expensive (and has about 2X horsepower). Nevera sure doesn't look like a practical daily driver either.
