To answer "Who animated this? god". This episode reminds many fans of Naruto and the fighting scenes are really beautiful. Here are some reasons The director of this episode is Huang Chengxi. He also hired many awesome animators from different countries for this episode. Huang is Chinese and works as an animator in Japan for years. He worked with Yamashita Hiroyuki in the team, who was also like Huang's "mentor". Yamashita is an absolutely important person in making Shippuden, who worked as 絵コンテ, 演出, 作画監督, 原画, 第2原画 (sorry, not sure the English translation for these animation-making terms that refer to the major responsibilities of an episode, like a director). So this is why you can find influence from Naruto in this episode. And Huang also added numerous Chinese Kung fu elements to the whole fighting scene between Momoshiki and Naruto&Sasuke. The fight looks like a fighting scene from a Chinese kung fu movie. For example, 2:54 to 2:58, it is kung fu; 3:01, how Momoshiki punches again when his fist is already on Naruto is inspired by Yong Chun Quan, or Wing Chun Kuen, a Chinese kung fu style; 3:43, the hand-to-hand combat is also inspired by Wing Chun; 3:48, how Sasuke kicks and stretches; 3:52, how Momoshiki wields his weapon, is inspired by the way of wielding a gùn (a long Chinese staff weapon) in kung fu. And you can also see Tai Chi and many other kung fu inspired fighting elements. Huang is a big fan of Naruto for almost 10 years. He worked really hard for this episode and tried to remind fans of Naruto by adding many memorable moments from Naruto

Not just childhood... Watched this show from age 24 onwards and it's just so good. Didn't know what to think of Boruto at first, but now i finished bingewatching it, i think Boruto is a really great continuation. The first episode's opening scene with Boruto and Kawaki also gives this feel of the series possibly going towards a (dark) sci-fi(ish) approach, which actually would work within the Narutoverse. And i'm really curious about how big a role the Ootsutsuki (and their worlds/dimensions) will play in the (near) future.

Shuriken and weapons that are summoned from scrolls are sword jutsus, i forgot what is it’s name in the anime, but any weapon summoned from a scroll is called ‘sword jutsu’ and shuriken + kunai is sword jutsu, it’s called shuriken jutsu yes, but if u think about it logically, there won’t be a ninja style for a single type of weapon like shuriken come only in size and not in different shapes, kunai is a knife, and there is only one shape/size of it so it won’t be called kunai jutsu, hand weapons are called sword jutsu.

shunjaa jija Naruto has lots of fights that are very well animated and have tons of hype and build up behind them compared to other animes and that’s just the beginning. One of the biggest reasons to why I got so hooked to Naruto was due to its action sequences as well as its story. Ever since I saw the fight between Sasuke and Orochimaru during the Chuunin Exams, I was mesmerized. It was so amazing because they animated every punch and kick in a fluid style like actual martial arts, and the fights had little to do with super powers, it was as if I was watching a Jackie Chan fight. It was that fight which made me realise that Naruto was going to be special and as I continued watching the fights got better and they were all consistent, but what made them better was the story and emotion behind it. Part 2 of Naruto continued having consistent fights and every fight Sasuke was involved in was amazing, but the Kakuzo and Hidan against Kakashi and Team 10 fight were exceptional. Sadly, the story really fell apart during the war and my interest dispersed. The fights in Naruto are fantastic and i have yet to see an anime that's better. I have watched, Bleach, HxH, One Piece, Tokyo Ghoul, My Hero Academia, One Piece, Attack on Titan, The Seven Deadly Sins, Jojo and a couple other. Another reason for why Naruto has some of the best fights are because of how we get to see how he’s improved and become way more powerful because of his training. IMO the only animes that could come close to Narutos fights are AOT, TSDS, and Bleach, and jojo aaand maybe OPM.

I like the dumbfounded look on naruto and boruto’s faces when say “vanishing rasengan” after realizing Borutos created a new jutsu.

xAlpha1 like they should since it's a legacy series. People are watching boruto because they loved Naruto so you should pull out the old hitters. I agree Boruto himself is garbage but this arc is his road to redemption. Chance to be something else and we might grow to like him as well. Both he and Naruto acknowledged the mistakes they have made and are already moving on, we should follow them.

I have to disagree. I been watching it since it started an following the Manga. I'm huge naruto fan, favorite anime. But Boruto is doing just fine an naruto an aisle have lil to do with it other then ppl watching it because they want to see how they kids turn out. The new group of Genin are amazing, def give a decent amount of nostalgia but these characters hold down the show. Just like before they do a good job in character development an making the main character not the only one to like. For instant seeing Gara son who I look forward to seeing more of. Shikadai I actually like better then shikamuru. Choi daughter I forget her name but she is a gem of a character. This show has moved at a decent pace, an doing a good job of filling in blanks an adding a lil more depth to the story from the manga.

issagoat the great that about it you don't see everyday is that real martial arts moves and syles including Bruce Lee's one punch that pushed Naruto back. And Momishiki did Jet Lee's pose when he was fight them both. Actually Jackie was the one that I actually know that was the first that did it. Right now, boruto is trying to make a name of himself. kishimoto is trying to attract all of the new generation kids like how we used to be when we used to look at naruto when he was a kid. He wants the new audience to look at boruto the same way! So it's natural to see the the first hundred something episodes will not be that great so that he can create the base of the story! After the base has been created, this is where the fun starts believe me... this is just the beginning!

In the first couple of episodes of Naruto we had back to back amazing arcs... And multiple intense and emotional episodes...
