I was taught to let my bed air out before making the bed, so you don't get bedbugs and such 😊

I love making my bed and love getting into a made bed at the end of the day. I leave the blankets off until I’m showered and ready for work so the bed airs out a bit.

I wake up for work at 5:30am every day. I take my shower and put on my make up as my bed dries out. Then I make it with the help of two kitties who love to lay where my sheets go and to wreck my quilt. But it get's done and they love to lay on the nicely made bed.....I feel myself relax at night when I pull the covers back and get under them. I love my room with the bed nicely made

I love the look of my bed when the clean linens are white with a pop of color. Thanks Melissa 🩷

I do make my bed every day, but it might look a bit different to how you do it. My sheet and pillows are fluffed and straightened, but my duvet is folded back on itself, so the sheet, topper, and protectors (yes, both waterproof and quilted protectors because I've only since discovered there's a 2in1) can air out and any sweat can evaporate. A dry, aired bed is a healthy bed. Also, we shower at night, so we're clean when we get into bed.

I prefer to UNMAKE my bed and let it air out for awhile before I make my bed. I remove the pillows, pull the covers up as though making the bed, then fold the covers back as far as possible without touching the floor. Later, brush the sheets off with your clean hands and make the bed. This allows any perspiration to dry instead of being trapped in the covers, and any lint, hair, etc gets brushed off.

Hi mrsp2115. I absolutely agree with you. I strip my son and my own bed every morning. I shake out the covers, set them aside and pull the pillows of the beds. Because we only use comforters ( quilted donnas) it is very easy the make up the beds in the late afternoon. The beds get the airing they need and it smells like a fresh bed every night. It's not being lazy, it's logical. Air out your bed!. Anyway its just a thought. Richard from Tasmania Australia 🇦🇺

I make the bed when I change the sheets (which happened to be today). I make the bed when I have company coming and I need to show off. My cleaning service will make the bed for me (but that's once every 4-6 weeks). Otherwise, I really don't bother. But there is something about climbing into a freshly made bed with a fresh set of sheets.

I make mine every single day. It feels so good to see a nice neat looking bed. I can’t seem to function if it’s not made.

I make my bed every day but AFTER getting ready for the day. It is the first thing I do once I'm ready to tackle the day. That also gives it a little time to air out. Particularly after a warm summer night.

I notice a good feeling when I make my bed so I do it about 99% of the time. Like others, I fold back the duvet and let it air out until I'm out of the shower. My tip for those who don't like doing it is to keep your bed easy. I watched a video of a woman making her bed and, even sped way up, it took 3 minutes. She must have walked around the bed 10 times fluffing decorative throw blankets and pillows. I counted 11 pillows and three layered blankets, that she picked up off a little chair in the corner. It looked beautiful but no way would I be fussing with all that every day. Keep it simple, it can still be beautiful and inviting.

Yes! I make my bed every morning . In fact I straighten out the sheets while I’m lying underneath them right before I get up. It makes it a whole lot easier to put the finishing touches on it from outside the sheets! 😂

To make the bed first thing in the morning should never be recommended as it needs to air to stay fresh. Preferably at least a couple of hours. I would not use anything to cover the bed unless I will have visitors that will see the bedroom. This makes it easier to go to bed in the evening 🙂

I make my bed every day. I do let it air out an hour or so after I get up before I do. Makes your bedroom look more put together. I am a bit of a neat freak.

I more or less make my bed every day. I don't always fluff my pillows and throw the extra pillows on there, but I straighten it out at least. It's not always a 10, but it's usually a 6.
