When Brian said his daughter ran out to him and said "Daddy you're here!" I lost it. As a woman who was raised by a single dad, I can attest that all of the material things that fathers often work themselves to the bone for (for their children) do not compare to their presence and quality time. Thirty years from now, their girls won't remember the material things, but they WILL remember the moments of togetherness. May God continue to bless Brian and Basillia's marriage and ministry. 🤍

I got chills when he said "You get married to be holy, not happy!" So powerful because happiness comes and goes. We sometimes romanticize marriage, but marriage is much bigger and more powerful than that. When people marry it's not just a commitment to one another, but to God. Marriage should glorify and honor God. Marriage is bigger than the marriage mates.

I love how she never told Brian that she knew that he was a husband. This story reminds me of how Mary knew what she was carrying was from the Holy Spirit. Mary kept quiet, then the Lord spoke to Joseph, and told him to marry Mary, and the Child she had conceived was from the Holy Ghost. . God will always confirm what he says. Wow, the Cuff's story truly is what perseverance and obedience to Almighty God's Word looks like! I love when Brian basically said he knew he had to put aside his feelings during the trial/tribulation and do what was pleasing in the sight of the Lord. Too often we hear or see how people throw Almighty God on the back burner (or are guilty ourselves) once He gives them the desires of their heart. So I commend Brian and Basillia for their intentionality of always honoring the Lord above any negative circumstances; and continuing to recognize that their marriage is a gift/blessing. Absolutely wonderful testimony 💕
