I love Aunty Donna's transparency and how she refuses to take all the credit. She kept bigging up the donors. And how she didn't even want to take the $1000 from Wode Maya because she didn't have any current projects.

She could have taken it even if her charity was on break this , there is next year plus people who request help from time to time. Africans, I know, think it is a disrespect to refuse a gift. I commend Donna, team, and donors of the work they continue to do, but that gift for $1000.00 should have been taken and used for the poor even if it was a small interruption for your break from charity.

But I think because of backlash or criticism she has gotten in the past she doesn't hold on to donor money without a clear purpose/project. Hence, her habit of counting out money live and giving updates. I think you are thinking of a large-scale charity and no doubt her work is impactful, but it also seems she doesn't function in the traditional sense of a charity organization; that was evident in the fact that she didn't even know how many houses she and the donors had built. It also appears she doesn't charge an administrative fee the way traditional charities do; 100% of donor funds goes to the cause/project. I think her heart is in the right place and I hope Wode Maya didn't take offence. He clearly wanted to help in some way and did so by buying the baskets and handing them out randomly and also offered her (saw this on another video) a trip to Ghana for all the work she does for others, and she accepted. Also, Wode Maya seems like a man of his word- maybe he will connect back with her when she is done with her break. And even if he doesn't, this video is shedding light on the work she is doing and that $1000 will be multiplied. And who knows, maybe at some point, the more her work grows, she will get to point where she doesn't refuse donations as her Plankanation org. will possibly have more structure.

Also, although she has done all these impactful deeds, it doesn't seem as if she functions in the traditional sense of a charity organization; this is evident by the fact that she doesn't hold donor funds, and it appears 100% of donor funds goes to the cause/project without an administrative fee.
