To your question: yes, Dimash loves to just try new things with his voice! As was already mentioned he has been training professionally since age 5 and comes from a musical family but he was actually criticized quite a bit in his youth for his unique style. Particularly in classical voice, which was his initial primary vocal training style, the male falsetto is essentially frowned upon. Dimash was actually discouraged from exploring his higher register by his vocal teachers and his teachers have actually told stories about entering campus and hearing Dimash messing around in his higher octaves and then as soon as they came around the corner he'd either go silent or simply disappear so they wouldn't actually catch him lol. Dimash is a true artist in so many ways, not the least of which is hist constant desire to achieve more and learn more about his own vocal capabilities. He never stops training, never says it's "good enough". He's one of the few singers out there that will actually go back and re-watch footage of his performances like a game tape and analyze himself. Technically it has been argued by many professionals that he is, in fact, the best vocalist in the world. He has absolute pitch, covers nearly 8 octaves, plays seven instruments, and has presently performed songs in 16 languages. But there's more to his greatness than these things. What truly makes him the best in the world is his heart; he has a deep desire to bring people together and break down the walls that divide us with his music. He has a deep love of his culture and does everything he can to share it with the rest of the world. He's a great humanitarian and truly cares about giving back to and supporting others. On that note, he loves supporting and lifting up other artists, especially very young artists. You asked about competition shows and yes, he has been on several. In fact he became known on the global stage when he performed this same song on season 5 of a singing competition out of China called "Singer" (2017). This program focuses on well-established Chinese artists and you cannot audition for it, you must be invited by the producers. A producer of the show happened to catch one of Dimash's performances in a competition and they invited him as a wild card. He was the youngest competitor in the show's history at the time at 22 years old and only the second non-Chinese competitor. The show's structure is such that the audience is made up of 500 judges from various aspects of the Chinese music industry. Each week the artists are ranked and their ranking determines the order of competition for the following week. The producers though Dimash would be an interesting addition to the show but didn't figure the audience would go for his unique style, so they had him perform first on the opening night. Needless to say, the rest is history! Dimash has a gigantic catalog of work in nearly every genre so he's really an artist that suits any type of listener! This includes pop, rock, jazz, and even rap! Earlier this year he released his first song in the rock blues genre with "When I've Got You". Oh, and he makes insanely fantastic music videos, too! He also has one of the most diverse fan bases you will ever see with Dears (that's what he calls us) in every age group, in more countries than I can name, from every religious and political background, all drawn together by the universal language of music. He's definitely not a supervillain, if Dimash is anything it's a superhero. He's one of the best humans on the planet, kind, patient and generous. He was made goodwill ambassador for migration by the United Nations last year and spends much of his time promoting world unity. He's very introverted in real life, but onstage he transforms into a charismatic beast to rival the likes of Elvis, Freddie Mercury, Prince etc! As well as singing in now 15 languages, he also does all genres from Opera to Rap.

It's actually quite easy to see from off stage footage that he is indeed an introvert, especially with people he's not familiar with. He's clearly quite uncomfortable in some social situations, especially after Exit Festival. I've been a Dear for over 4 years now and I'm also very perceptive, there's not much I don't know about him.

Dimash comes from a family of singers and artists in Kazakhstan. He was up on stage with his parents taking bows with them before he could walk properly. As soon as he could sit up and his fingers could grab anything, they had the traditional stringed instrument the Dombra placed in his chubby baby fingers. At age 5, they found he had perfect pitch, and he was commenced on formal vocal training. By age 6 he was winning piano competitions. Dimash was trained in classical voice, musical theatre, traditional folk music / vocalisations, and EVERY form genre of contemporary music. He plays multiple instruments, composes ann, at last count, sings in 16 languages. He also produces films, acts, and models, and yes, it has done soundtracks for movies, etc. It's not just God-given talent, he also works very hard on his craft. # This is just an 'appetiser'. Welcome to the amazing world of Dimash, the greatest singer of all time. I can see you were impressed, but believe it or not, what you saw and heard was but the tip of the iceberg! Back in 2017, when Dimash first exploded into the international scene, he said in an interview that we’d only seen 30% of Dimash. I smiled at his youthful statement but today I can only say that he’d understated it! Witnessing his growth and development is a great honor and privilege. Dimash didn’t sort of stumble on his talent. He worked hard at it since early childhood. Even today he still practices at least three hours a day on his off days. Dimash is from a musical family. His mother's an opera singer. His father sings more pop ballads and is a music producer. His mother took him to one of her rehearsals when he was about 4, and a music teacher decided to take him to a practice room to keep him entertained. She came out to tell his mom that he had perfect pitch, so he was enrolled in their elite music school at age 5, the youngest to ever go there. (He was already learning to play the piano before that.) He has a master's degree and started a PhD program, too. Plus he does a lot of public service, is an ambassador to the UN, little things like that. 😉 He also swims underwater to build up his lung capacity.

Dimash is from Kazakhstan. While he was born with perfect pitch, informing his grandparents their piano needed tuning when he was a wee tot. They enrolled him in a premier music school just before he turned 5 years old. He remained in this school until he was ready for college. He has three degrees having completed his Doctoral studies in the spring of 2023. He has committed his entire being to be the best of the best, and rehearsing hours a day. now age 30, he has been classically training for over 25 years. He has also trained in Contemporary and Pop singing. His favorite artist is the late Michael Jackson though he also is a fan of opera singer like Placido Domingo. He is also proficient with several instruments. His vocal range is over 7.5 octaves, but who really know how high he can go?

Dimash didn't just one day discover this voice. He's worked on his craft every single day, sometimes with voice coaches since he was 5 years old. During that time he developed his range, developed an incredible control at every part of that range, learned to sing in many different genres, in different languages, and how to evoke whatever emotion he wants to evoke from the audience. The way I found to celebrate the majesty of Dimash's talent was to have written the following about him: If I were to rule the world, I would immediately add, to the universal declaration of human rights, another article (they would become 31) whose wording would next "All human beings have the right, at least once in their lives, to hear Dimash sing". I am a Professor and I believe that I have a special profession that allows me to transform the human heart and consequently the human society. I work with young people and young people need to have good references. I had been looking for someone for a long time, of whom I could speak to the young people I work with, as a good reference. That person should be young, a super talent, a super mega star in the art world and above all, because he is the most important, a good human person. I searched and never found anyone with these characteristics. Until, finally, I found this person and that person is Dimash. I had the opportunity to say this to Dimash, personally, when I was with him in Latvia where I went, coming from Portugal (there are 8000 km round trip), on the 7th of March 2020. You have only scratched the surface of this man’s talent. Nuance and tastes aside, I think he very well may be the best singer in the world when it comes to talent and ability.. maybe even of all time. He has also worked VERY hard to get to this point. He’s been in music school since age 5 for piano and singing lessons, he practices a minimum of 3 hours every single day, sings in 12 languages, plays several instruments, has an absolutely absurd vocal range of 7 octaves and 7 semitones from bass range to whistle register. Dimash has a masters degree in music composition and last I heard, he was working on his doctorate in music. And if that wasn’t enough, his mother is a classically trained soprano opera singer and his father is a singer and composer. Just subscribed!

Although Dimash was born with unique vocal chords (longer than normal), he has been studying and working hard since the age of 5 to become the best of the best. He is extremely innovative and uses his versatile voice and huge number of vocal techniques he has mastered to create some of the most artistic musical masterpieces you will ever hear a live human perform on stage or in MVs. This is just the tip of the iceberg and... only a part of his range... and that is no joke, seriously. Both his parents are singers and discovered very early his passion for anything music as well as his perfect pitch and did everything to support this passion - he is classically trained since age 5. What we are hearing now is over 2 decades of daily training. He has a fanbase from literally all over the world and even more uniquely from kids to up to people in their 90s. First, this is my first time on your channel and I love your energy and personality. Now, on to Dimash. He is this great because he has worked very hard and still does. He began his music studies at the age of five; half days in music school, the other half on academic studies. They found he had perfect pitch at the age of three. He has been committed to his music since then. He said that if his heart was to be cut open, you would see music. I believe he had achieved his Ph.D. before he was 28. All the while he was studying, he was still doing concerts. He is generous, and humble, and loves his family, his country, and his "Dears", a name he gave to his fans. I am a 75-year-old African-American great-grandmother and grew up on soul music. My taste was really eclectic until Dimash. You really haven't heard anything yet. He sings in 14-15 languages and his genres cover anything from opera, and from classical to rap. He has created his own style. His voice is mesmerizing and irresistible. When he sings, it seems to envelop you and hold you captive until moments after the last note has been sung. It's hard to pick a real favorite, but for me, they would be Ikanaide, Adagio, Stranger, Your Love, Sinful Passion, and Love Is Like A Dream. Olympico ( Ogni Pietra) is one where I say he sings an opera by himself. You are in for a magnificent musical journey that you may never want to end. I started watching Dimash reaction from "Singer", its like a competition i think in China where KZ Tandingan, a Filipino singer joined. What I love about Dimash is his versatility. He can sing softly, powerfully, different genres. Always with all your heart. It evokes emotions in me. In this day and age, when we have become accustomed to showing honest emotions, this is extremely important. I can't wait for it to come to Prague on November 22, 2024 💖

Dimash has been studying music since he was 5 years old. He has a master's degree in composition and this year he is presenting his doctorate in musicology. Considered by his teachers to have absolute pitch. He handles all vocal techniques and has absolute control of his voice and breathing. His vocal range goes from baritone to soprano. Multi-instrumentalist, singer and composer. Dimash started training when he was 5 years old and he practices at least 3 hours every day. He sings everything from pop, rock, rap, classical, opera, etc. This song only showcased a little of his range. He is very humble and calls his fans dears. He is very passionate about promoting world peace and tolerance. You may enjoy Stranger, Opera 2, Sinful Passion, Be With Me, and When I've Got You. That will show a nice mixture. When you get a chance, watch The Story of One Sky. Dimash spent 3 years getting this mini movie made and he does all of the singing. Thank you, Sebastine, for your reaction to and appreciation of Dimash's music and artistry 🙏🎼🙏 Also FYI, he didn't "find" out one day that he could sing like this❣ He comes from a musical family and wanted to do this since the age of 3 or so, started voice training at the age of 5, and trains at least 3 hours every day for the last 25 years ❣❣ Over the years this amazing artist has trained with various voice teachers...growing, expanding and learning new techniques, skillsets, songs in different languages, singing on his knees or cross legged or running or lying down, etc. etc. During his puberty he trained to retain his higher register and kept expanding upwards...during the pandemic lockdown he worked on expanding his lower range ❣❣❣ Dimash is university trained as well...with a bachelor's in classical and contemporary music, masters in composition and soon to be Dr Dimash with a PhD in musicology 🤩 Plus he used to do taekwondo and currently swims regularly (including long underwater swims) to improve his lung capacity and core strength for singing 🤩🤩 However, one of the main reason we (his fans or Dears as Dimash calls us) really love his singing is because of how he puts his whole heart and soul in each performance...and how that in turn makes us feel or touches our souls‼ There are also many reasons we LOVE him...because of who he is as a person‼ He has official fan clubs in 132 countries, i believe...his concerts are like United Nations of music lovers (smiling, crying, hugging, enjoying and screaming together) 🤩🤩🤩 Sorry my comment got too long...i have so much to say about him. But, simply put, Dimash did not just find out one day that he could sing so well...he has worked for many years and still works very hard to fulfil his dreams 😍💞🎶💥🥰🌹

His mother Svetlana is a famous opera singer in Kazakhstan and his father is also involved in the music industry. I think it's not only genetic but also many many years of practicing 3 hours everyday. There is no doubt in my mind that he is the best singer in the world. This man followed his dream and here we are. I'm going to see him someday....someday. ❤❤❤
