I just started watching you here & there, but now am subscribed. Watching you w/your BEAUTIFUL Mom was touching as I lost my BEAUTIFUL MOTHER & BESTFRIEND 😢 in this world. Thank you for that segment. I do have a question. I've been crying for many yrs now & then losing my Mom broke me. I cry on a daily basis & I am now as I write this to you. From all the crying, I've developed frown lines & heard on the show " The Talk" that there is nothing you can do for that. I've tried mouth exercises that I saw on here, but to no avail. Is there anything I can do about this as it is embarrassing! Thank you for all that you do & your self confidence is inspirational. ❤❤❤ Sincerely, Deborah

I am happy that you did not take down your "I can't do this anymore" video. I just watched it. Preach it, sister! Our external world many times pulls us in so many different directions that it begins to fragment our inner selves. It is NOT healthy for mind or soul. I am 67, happily retired (thank God), and I now see clearly how terribly our multi-tasking habits affect us. Your posts help me escape the news, all "the sky is falling" stories, the "watch out for... (insert noun or verb here...) " screaming that the media throws at us. I enjoy feeling pretty, playing with makeup and skin care, and imagining the perfect wardrobe. Your content soothes me. AND I try like mad to avoid multi-tasking. One thing at a time is fine for me! Keep going, Nikol, and do what brings you happiness. Cast everything else into the trash.

I think the real test to a foundation is how it looks after hours of wear. To date I have found that expensive foundations last better and will look good hours later and not separate and sit in facial creases. So a comparison of how a foundation wears through the day is useful.
@lynnemann355 Жыл бұрын
I seldom wear makeup during the day unless I go out. I don't like makeup and especially foundation. Many times I put a serum on, give it time to settle and use my concealer lightly. I use a cream blush and that's it. The older I get the less I use. I have used Clinique all my life but lately I have used concealer. Next time I go to Walmart, I am going to try Wet n Wild. I love clinique but it feels too thick even over a serum now. Hope this helps.

This product wets the lashes taking ALL the curl out. If they could only come out with this in waterproof!!!!!! i have stick-straight lashes and they point straight down!!! maddening, so since 16 years of age, I must curl my lashes by heating my curler with my blow dryer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And... can ONLY wear waterproof mascaras which will keep them curled for possibly 6 hours! tried heated curling wands but don't work on my down-turned stick-straight lashes!!!!! never once worked. so I hate taking my mascara off in the evenings! i sit with two saturated remover ovals on my eyes for 5 minutes and then must work another 10 minutes to remove every lash! because I also have to wear a lash serum on a very well-cleansed face and eyes, before applying this serum for growth. never have my skinny thin lashes thickened but at least they are much longer! any suggestions welcome!

I dreaded aging after 29....little did I know how liberating these later years are! I assured my granbabies to never fear getting older. For me, despite some very challenging circumstances, life has never been more satisfying! I am no longer struggling as a single Mom....on an adrenaline race 20hrs per every 24. Nikol, I did not get an opportunity to respond to your video last week about not being able to continue at a frenetic pace, but I have thought about that topic, as well as some of your other recent VLOGS where you discuss your intentions for this channel, for the past week and wanted to say thank you for posting (and for not taking it/them down!). In addition to the makeup tutorials in your content, I really enjoy your commentary about keeping it real, talking about things that no one else discusses, and your words of encouragement for women to be their authentic selves, however imperfect. Thank you for not being afraid to expose your vunerability, for showing us your moments of frustration, and for being philosophical about your approach to beauty and to life. I can't say enough about how much I thoroughly enjoy your channel - it is about so much more than getting a beauty tutorial, and I always feel uplifted and as though I have spent a few minutes chatting with a friend after I watch your videos. I am a 52 year old professional woman (who also happens to live in Florida) who has spent the past 2 years trying to redefine myself after losing an executive level position early in the pandemic. I realized that my identity was too closely connected to my career, and after losing my job I no longer felt powerful, relevant, beautiful, or empowered, even though I have always prided myself as someone who is keenly aware of claiming my power. I have recently started my own grey hair journey, and am really dedicating myself to living authentically, living a more balanced life, "taking out the noise" (as you stated in this video), and exploring who I am at this stage of my life (and who I want to become). I just want you to know that your work in making women feel empowered and beautiful is very much recognized, heard, and appreciated! Watching your channel has been very energizing, therapeutic, and enjoyable for me, and I look forward to your videos every week! Having said that, I also want to have the presense of mind to say that I do not want you to feel pressured into having to create constant content, as I think your audience appreciates that you require down time and balance, as we all do! Thank you for the richness of this channel - it is so far and above anything else that I have seen out there! Best, Elizabeth

I do like it, however it has such a strong funky oder and if I have a busy few days where I need to wear a full face, I have noticed that it does mildly break me out. I don't like to spend a lot of money on cosmetics and I always appreciate your honest reviews on less expensive products. I've been using a Cover Girl foundation that you recommended and I love it. I'm headed to Target right now to grab some Wet and Wild. Thanks for all you do! 🌹

I only came across your channel a few days ago. I rarely give myself time to do makeup but your direction is amazing. Your honesty and integrity with the products you style with really makes an impression with me. Thank you again.

The Wet and Wild looks fabulous on you! You are so right, the blush grabbed the moment you applied it. Part of the joy of makeup is finding new and fun things. Love your channel, your style, your products and your love of life!

Being genuine is such an attribute! I appreciate your ability to apply makeup so artfully and I enjoy your personal style so very much. I was thrilled to learn you curate your exquisite wardrobe from thrift or re-sale shops. I am so happy with the lip products I ordered from your beauty line. I hope your happy days far outnumber your challenging ones; life is like nothing I've seen before (not sure to whom to give credit for that observation).

Thank you for doing this comparison!! I know now I'm not crazy as I bought 2 Chanel foundations 6 months ago to help me out of a huge grief situation. Then I started YT videos- lol. Bought the W&W and was amazed even though I didnt get the exact color. TY for explaining you can mix colors🤣. The one perk to Dept store makeup counter is that there is a commissioned sales associate to color match you....but for the 115 vs 6 dollars I spent...well ,enough said. Gas is $6 a gal and rent went up 8% this month.... But my High Low makeup collection just keeps growing. Youre the best😘

I love the Wet & Wild foundations, I also mix the colors to get a good skin match. It leaves my skin soft where some of the more expensive foundations leave my skin dry and funky feeling. Thanks for showing a great cheap foundation, you always have great videos.

We have all been overstretched and overworked and have had feelings of guilt for not doing enough. It is e en harder on a platform like this. I'm glad that it was well received and you feel validated. All of us women have to support one another. Take care of you!!! We will still be here. Thanks for all your valuable information!

What a fantastic find! It really is super helpful to all of us on a budget to see how these products behave in the application and look when you're done. It's amazing and something of a relief to know what I'm spending my money on. Thank you so much!

Just ordered couple of your cosmetic items and can't wait until I get them. Started watching your videos few weeks ago. So happy that I found you. Thinking about going back to my salt and pepper hair again. All you ladies look very beautiful with your natural pretty silvers and grey hair. 😍

I love both.....however with the Chanel it has just the right level of dewy and smooth without very little shine. The Wet and Wild is great also.....but it does have a bit of a shine

Before KZbin used the same foundation and colour for years. Now purchase 3 at a time different brands shades and textures. I've never been disappointed and will definitely try the new silky W n W! I use the L'oreal primer/mascara on my sparse lashes - the primer does make a difference. Fabulous video thank u

I've been using that foundation for over a year. I add one drop of my rosehip oil to the foundation and it's gorgeous. I do wish it had a pump, though.

Same here- I’ve used the WW dewy since it came out. FYI - I purchased a set of pumps on Amazon and switched the cap out - so easy and they can be reused

Thanks for testing this foundation. I'm definitely going to give it a try! I'm in my 60s, I have rosacea, My cheeks get really red. I have bare minerals serum foundation, but it was discontinued a long time ago. This might be a good substitute! I have been using the wet and wild eyebrow pencil, the one that has the slanted edge as opposed to the pointed one. It is the best I have ever used! My eyebrows are almost non-existent and have turned gray, when I use this it's amazing the difference. I get complimented on my brows lol. I generally use the medium brown but I can go with the darker one and just use a lighter hand. I am a strawberry blonde with some gray. When I was younger I was deep Auburn.
