You know, the best thing about this beta, alpha, omega crap is that it doesn't exist. The term "alpha male" along with "alpha female" was used for wild wolves. Alphas were leaders, omegas were submissive, etc. Later, humans found out that the alpha male and female are just mum and dad. Omegas, betas, sigmas, whatever, they don't exist. Everyone works together to keep the family alive.

Well, that was the secondary discovery. The first was the man who coined the term realizing that the wolves he'd been studying were living in a captive reserve. In those conditions, packs did form around strong males. When he studied them in the wild, he observed they formed around family groups.
@brigandboy1425
@brigandboy1425 8 ай бұрын
It's worse than that. It turns out the term "alpha wolf" and the behaviors associated with that kind of wolf were terms coined from wolves in captivity. Wolves in the wild do not have that kind of social structure in packs.

Good take. Tate is a 'prophet' for young men desperate for an identity. An incel magnet. His charisma goes a long way and he's a good communicator, but his entire value structure is built on the back of materialism and meaningless relationships with females that will tolerate him for his money. Money is nice, attractive girls are nice, but a meaningful life is derived from deep relationships and purpose driven activities. He's the final boss of IG entrepreneur grifters, and he's finding his stride.

Many influencers have done this and even twitch streamers. They are influencers. They influence people. They just get mad when someone that done believe what they believe starts influencing people too. You can see this with the austin crew and many streamer groups when a streamer says things other people don't agree with they are ostracized and shunned. This happened to Trainwrecks even before the gambling. This is why he rants so much about fake friends. All of these pseudo celebrities all have delusions of grandeur.

These situations really annoy me because there’s virtually nothing you can do to combat it. From a normal everyday person to a celebrity speaking out about it, they will simply be met with an invincible wall of edgy teens who couldn’t give one fuck about the genuine information being told to them. All the fans care about is “haha this guy hates women and is also really externally cool which is what makes someone popular at my age, I’m gonna be like him.” It’s really sad because while it might just seem like edgy humor that means nothing it raises the next generation of sexist, misogynistic tools. And one of them will grow up to be the next Andrew Tate which keeps the cycle going.

As a teenager myself it is scary to see so many people i know mindlessly gravitate towards the strong, "smart", rich guy who they see as an inspiration. This man took the concept of "based" humour and is trying to actually apply it to peoples lives which is worrying to say the least. I have more respect for people like Jordan Peterson, who have somewhat similar views in certain areas but actually try to present logic and be reasonable, and not just say stuff like "women dumb" and expect that to resonate with young guys nowadays

As someone who had a leafy and ricegum phase I think the best thing creators could do is create videos deconstructing these ideas/fallacies they like to spew. When I saw Idubbbz videos on leafy and ricegum it made me realize the actual nature of the videos I was watching and just how wrong or delusional it was. I was a huge Leafy fan growing up and all that malice and toxicity really didn't help my mood in most days I also watched Idubbbz, and Keemstar around that time, and then I saw the Content Cop on keem, I thought it was funny. Heard about what Leafy said about Keem that he'd sue him or something, I raised my eyebrow, but assumed it was just content drama and watched it anyway after the Content Cop on Leafy, I promptly stopped watching all of them, I realized around that time that they're all losers who spend way too much time on the internet (well, arguably Idubbbz less so but still) Im so glad someone like Ian was actually critical on those people and their behavior, as well as their actions. Had their behavior not been highlighted, and in the case of Leafy, had his own toxic attitude used against him. If instead I saw countless man babies on Twitter just saying "KZbin person bad" with zero elaboration I probably would've just shrugged and continued to watch them all. I probably would've been an older version of my bitter and toxic teenage self to this day. Edit: the only really good one out of the bunch is Joji, sure he was crass and vulgar. But that's the point, his character embodies the absolute worst the internet has to offer. It's to show off how _you_ could look if you're behaving like that, and you should be nice to people, or keep it on the DL. Because otherwise people irl will think youre way too weird and see you as a spectacle to laugh at, and not a person

I’m not going to advocate for him to be deplatformed or whatever, as its a dangerous game. @@gammaphoenix5893 You’re thinking of a very toxic/shallow relationship my dude. I don’t know many women who want a guy “worship the ground they walk on”, unless there’s some femdom shit going on. Like how do you come to the conclusion that women want the 6s when I’ve seen girls argue over whether a guy is cute or not? Like every woman is a little bit different in terms of what they find attractive. Like the only standard I’d say is height, but even then I’ve heard plenty of women talk about dating and screwing shorter guys. The fact is the thing that truly makes you attractive or not is how much people gravitate towards you in general. Like if you’re fun, extroverted, and likeable, you’ll find yourself dating a lot more than being a dickhead, introverted, and bitter. I’ve seen dudes who are twice to 3 times my weight dating way more women than some of my more conventionally attractive friends, solely because they were just more fun to hang out with and less awkward.

As a woman, I just feel a very deep sense of worry bc I know that when young boys receive violent misogynistic messaging online, it can and often does result in real life violence against women :( I also just want to be seen as a person, a human being, by men. I’m a 15 yr old girl. And i can say that kids are really impressionable. I remember when i was 14 and watching nerdrotic, heels vs babyface etc about their rants on marvel going woke and blaming the female characters, then it progressed into vids on yt about the wnba fails, women’s football fails, stuff about women being inferior. I talked to my family at dinner times about female inferiority, why there are women *insert job title*. I started to put down women and their capabilities and thought that feminism was evil. I thought that i was being smart for recognising this and being with the facts don’t care about your feelings crowd. The more i watched, the more addicted i got to this type of content. It was a reward cycle. It was like, if i can’t be strong, at least i can be the wise smart one with the facts and the truth. I got some type of solemn reward feeling with this, like i was being brave by accepting the harsh reality of life. But all throughout this, i was becoming so, so insecure about being a girl. It got to the point where i was asking my mom why she had a female child, when she must have known about the physical disadvantages women face and why she would create a being that would have to go through them. I even suggested that she should have killed the foetus (me) to get a boy child. As you can tell, i was not in a mentally stable state. It’s scary how quickly this spiralled. Thankfully i’m in a better state of mind but i’m still a bit insecure about being female and physically weak. That area of my life affected me though. I remember around april i was having an argument with a guy in a yt reply section with the op being my comment. He was saying that women couldn’t be ceos and if they did then they end up unfulfilled and wishing to be housewives. He also said that relationships only work with the man being the leader and the woman following. I said that a lot of women like to work and progress in their job, and find it fulfilling. And that relationships should be up to the couple to decide and that a more equal approach seemed fairer. Anyway, we argued about this and then another guy joined and they ganged up on me and started calling me a boss baby and little miss girlboss in an insulting way and saying that no man would ever want me. I understood that this was yt and that people would be mean online, but i hate it when people gang up on me and don’t take me seriously. After this i ended up insecure and believing that the best place for me was as a housewife even though i’ve always wanted to work and if i met a guy, would he accept me if i wanted to work. Btw both my parents work, with my mom earning slightly more than my dad and they have been happily married since 2004. I really don’t want to come off as whiny in the second story, but i really wanted to highlight how a slightly mentally vulnerable child can be affected by something so small. In this case, i came into the argument in the mindset that i’m a child and i have stuff to learn and i don’t have all the answers and hoping to learn stuff from the other guy. At the end of the argument, which spanned a few days, i came out of it with my views more aligning with his than my views before. In the argument, i was backing down from or altering my views that didn’t align with his. I was apologising for some of my views that didn’t align with his. Looking back now, i think i was doing that so we could agree and i could gain some sense of approval. I think that also applies to the first case. I was doing it so i could be like the adults on yt, who i saw as wise and awakened and spitting facts. It’s scary how quickly a kid’s views will change to gain approval or be accepted or to be like who they think is cool. My third scenario, i was looking at male vs female iq and came across this misogynistic website from the late 2000s and early 2010s. It really promoted the idea that women were simple minded and virtually useless and one example was that women were too stupid to find a usb port. I knew that this site was really biased but i kept thinking of all the times i’ve messed up in life and then some self doubt started to creep in. Recently i’ve been looking at some yt videos from men’s channels that bash on women “hitting the wall” which means getting older and less attractive. The videos are disgusting and the comments are terrible too. They rate women’s bodies on a 1-10 scale and believe that a woman’s only purpose is a housewife. They are really enthusiastic when a woman hits the wall and are grateful for it. They have some special code like 304s and chameleons. These groups of men are honestly terrifying to me. They say the wall is late 20s to early 30s. Learning about this, i’m really scared of growing up, a lot more than i was before. I’m a lot more anxious but i still keep clicking on these types of videos. It really shows how addictive these things are and how easy it is to spiral down this rabbit hole again, even though these videos make me anxious and scared. I just want to say that i don’t want to seem like i’m complaining too much or being first-world-problem-y but i wanted to show how much of the media a kid consumes affects them, especially a mentally vulnerable kid. It’s been a year and a bit for me and those types of videos and sites mentioned above still have power over me to get me to click them and still affect me mentally and emotionally even though i know that they shouldn’t. It’s scary to think what i would be like if i were a boy, had trouble with girls, had a poor background and were conscious of it, and then found andrew tate. A few boys in my science class were talking about hustlers university and i worry for them. Andrew tate’s content works by trapping people in with comedy and absurdity. I really worry for the young boys that don’t think critically about what they watch. I fear for more boys joining those misogynistic groups like the ones i talked about above.

I don’t get these guys that encourage hating women. If you’re a young guy and you feel inadequate, work on yourself. Don’t hate all women because a few that you like won’t give you a chance. There’s way too many people for you to generalize all women. Work out, travel, find something you enjoy doing, etc. and don’t give this asshat your money. I am just like you, I’m 22 and still haven’t found my purpose yet, and care way too much what people think, but I could never agree with what he is teaching people.
