Really appreciate you homie! You’re a stand up dude who isn’t afraid to say things like they are and still at the same time, respect that other people are allowed to have an opinion. Definitely a gem of a human and I respect the hell out of you. Sadly. I’m never going to give “Investment Advice” despite many thinking that’s what my channel is about. I want people to collect and invest their money into what they enjoy and I want to show off a bunch of kick ass cards that people may not know about, or think about. I look at trends so people can make the best decision on when they should buy the ones they also think are kick ass. Never once did I say people should buy hyper rares in that video. I said I’ve had a lot of questions asking if they should and asking if I think they will increase in price. Singles go up and down and always will. If you like the card and you can afford it, buy it when it makes sense, but I’m not going to gate keep and tell people what to spend their money on because what makes this hobby so great is how many different spending options there are. I want to grow the game. I want to grow the hobby. I want Pokémon to be around in another 25 years. I honestly could care less about how much money I make or what’s in my bank account. I’m sure this guy saw the video title, and got heated without really listening to what I said because he’s saying close to the same thing I did. He’s telling people not to buy rainbow rares…and never did I tell people they should do that. Keep being real brother! You’re the best 💜

I love when people recommend what is good to buy and what isn't worth buying lol. It's literally art and a card game. Buy whatever the heck makes you happy. The first card I bought when I got back into the hobby was a Scizor rainbow rare and it's still one of my top favorites ahead of most alt arts because Scizor is one of my favorites. I'm thankful it's not 100+ dollars because that would make it harder. Appreciate the video you made as always.

Same, I collect some vintage cards, I have two specific Pokemon collection and also full arts. I never care what people say in yt videos whether it's a good investment or not. Some things I collect because I enjoy the process or the collection itself, some things I even know will be hard to sell out then and fluid the money easily. But also I know and checked that out myself there are some good investments and very easy to sell. I have my own mind and can read the numbers, analyze them and know in what and when to invest. Maybe I will be succesful in most of these things, maybe not, but I enjoy the process and everybody should do their own thing in either collecting or investing. The only thing I think it's important to point out, especially for new members of the community is not to spend too much money in cracking boosters. It's never gonna work.

Hyper rares had their place, did I like them? No, but I could see why they were there. Gave another option for a big pull and could help make decks and binders look pretty. The pain was when the bloat happened with pulls. One type had to take the hot and rainbows were the low hanging fruit. Now it's the alt art era and now the new punching bag is the normal SR pokemon. People just never seem to be happy if it isn't the big money pull.

I love hypers, bro. I'm glad to hear you like them, too. The reason I started collecting Pokemon was because I bought a random tin that sat at Walgreens for weeks (pre-boom, just barely). It had a burning shadows pack, and I pulled the hyper Salazzle. I went into this blind. I had no idea there were cards that looked like that in modern. It's because of that, hypers will always be some of my favorite cards. Danny is a friggin great dude, man. I've only interacted with him in chats and through email but he's been nothing but good to me. I have a ton of respect for the guy.

Rainbows grew on me, didn’t like them at first but now I love them. Just like full arts and golds, I’ve slowly been buying rainbows over time. I’m sad to see them go, but would love to see them come back if they can work the rainbow foiling and texturing in subtly to the new cards, that’d be great.

The rainbow tag teams are some of the favourite cards I own. I pulled a rainbow greninja & zoroark from night unison a couple of years ago and was over the moon, the japanese texture on those cards is amazing. Also, anyone who thinks rainbows are worthless can't have been around the hobby when maxmoefoe was chasing the burning shadows zard lol people were going crazy for that card at the time.

Please scare away the yoloswag hypeboi investors from RR, no need for another segment to get artificially hyper-inflated. But I can almost guarantee that will change when people become nostalgic and want them again, or the pokevestors need a new target to pump and dump. For now, I'll just keep picking up singles while they're affordable. Perhaps I'm weird, but what I like about the RR isn't the art necessarily, but the texture pattern itself is really given a chance to be shown off and is almost the focal point. The full art versions show the original art with the texture complimenting it, but the art is what pops. One card, two versions, each one allowing the two components to be their own star. (Also the GX RR > V/VMAX RR imo for this reason). Appreciate the vids and you calling out the actual bs in the community! Keep doing your thing my man!

I LOVE rainbows (trainers and pokemon) I have binder pages full of them and graded cards. People are hating on these like they hated legendary collection reverse holos back in the day, prime cards, legend cards, break cards (though they’re still hated to this da 😂) and what have all those types of cards done as time surpasses? Grown massive and become very popular. Plus the negative opinions of an adult in 2023 are irrelevant. Kids fucking love rainbows and gold cards and I’ve seen this first hand, pulling a rainbow is a big deal for kids. And what will kids want in the future? Their chase cards when they were younger which before alt arts were a thing it was rainbows. Great vid as always bud 🙌🏻

Alt arts only became really hot after evolving skies. Look at the price graphs - they were usually topping the sets but the rainbow rares almost ALWAYS were worth more. Evolving skies CRUSHING the alt arts totally changed the perspective for the American market.

Some rainbow trainers look way better than the normal trainer for example brawley or the nessa from vivid voltage

Also let me get this straight... Rainbow Rares are now "not a thing" and let's say, people one day really want them (think about the Legendary collection firework pattern reverses)... Do we honestly think they will be available and for sale on the cheap, or at a premium? Supply and demand...
