The bar for Detroit to improve from last year is remarkably low, at this rate they just need to get at least 15 wins while competing against the likes of Washington, Toronto and even the Nets. BTW I do appreciate using older hardware to replicate a classic look than just using some effects in post. I've thought about using my dad's old 80's camcorder and doing a VHS-to-digital conversion for something.

15 wins would still be embarrassingly bad as it would almost certainly earn them a last place finish for the 3rd year in a row. I think they need to finish with 25 wins or more. That'd be their best season since 2018/2019.

Also Harris, Beasley, Hardaway, Paul Reed, Fontecchio, Moore is such a solid group of experienced players that fit needs on and off the court. Reed in particular feels like he could be a Stewart replacement down the line.

Watched Bobi Klintman a bunch of times in the NBL(everyone here jsut called him Bobby) and he looked like a hell of a prospect. Streaky 3 shooter but his confidence made me think he'll improve a lot, same as his defense.. and dude is just a mega athlete. Good 2nd round pick for sure, wouldn't be surprised if he becomes a better option than Ausar within a yr or two

Monty Williams was put in the cushiest job in the world. All he had to do was to make a bad team just a little bit better and give all of his young talent a thorough examination by playing them a lot. It seems as if that chore was too difficult for Monty who didn't want to put in the guys that were going to be the future of the team. Monty took the job for the money and then decided he was too good to be in charge of such a crappy team. Troy Weaver didn't help things either. I do like the Simone Fontecchio move though.😊

Honestly I think its totally on ownership for continuing to pursue Monty last year. Diehard Pistons fan here but he explicitly said he needed time off and we should have believed him. His wife was battling with cancer, but he had no choice but to move because the amount of money on the table didnt make sense to turn down. His mind was other places and the constant losing and now having one of the worst records possible for a coach is something that is going to haunt him. The losses affected him a lot, you could see the emotion on him. A lot of our coaching issues obviously came from him, but I dont blame him that much. I genuinely wish him the best.

I’m not gonna lie, Kofie, I agree with what you’re saying on Monty Williams, but I find it interesting that you take that route there but when the Lakers and Darvin ham, it’s not that route? And yeah, I do get that Rob, and the front office are definitely to blame as well, that being said, I just don’t think the Lakers are in the worst spot even with the West getting better, like I do think Darvin ham costed the Lakers a couple games and they won in spite of him which was like 47 wins, and I could only imagine, heck if they had gone 500 in that stretch where I think they were like five and 11 after winning the season tournament, if they go like 500 there they’re probably not a play in team, and they probably don’t face Denver in the first round.
