Hey Abobo, thanks so much for playing Isle of Swaps and giving a great explanation of the game. You're the first I've seen with a Charjk and my word that power.

Hello! Thanks for giving me a copy of your excellent game, it was great working with you and I had an absolute blast with it! You've got yourself a great deckbuilder here and I hope your quickly approaching launch goes tremendously well! Charjk, although I cannot say the name properly, was the champion in this one! I'd like to add him to my master binder. Thanks again for working with me and checking out the video my friend, I appreciate it!

The pic for drenched is so adorable and relatable some days. The poor doggo. This is so down to earth, childhood accurate vibes, and well done! The music, the cardboard stuff slappped together by kids that take their games seriously is so on point. Wasn’t allowed to play or watch Pokémon growing up, so I miss out on some of the probable references, but I definitely got the gist. Charjk is so fun to read and say. Charge+k hes also a very cute buddy.
@AboboKnowsАй бұрын
Agreed! This game is very well done, the cards and the names, the card art, the variety. I enjoy it quite a bit!! I like the binder feature too, as a kid, I often brought my card binder on the bus with me. It captures that spirit well too! Charge+k is a name I cannot say consistently lol. Thanks for checking it out!!

Love the old school pokemon tcg aesthetic! Added to the wishlist. It would be cool if there were shiny/animations for rare cards or attacks, like in runeterra.
@fuzzforce2000Ай бұрын
It would be great if I had as many people as riot working on this but alas, im just one guy! Thanks for adding to your wishlist, you're a star
@Lyzander911Ай бұрын
@@fuzzforce2000 sucks that you are solo but you won't get far complaining about it. To be fair, shiny/animations for rare cards, shiny cards in general is kind of mandatory in today's world

This is great to hear my friend! I'm glad this video helped expose you to this fun game! Thanks for checking it out!!

The rare cards are holographic which could be considered shiny, I think they look real good!

Cardpocalpyse? Yeah thats exactly the same game i thought of first too. Still need to beat it. For some reason i think i bought it n dropped interest after a bit.
@zerokuraАй бұрын
@MajorChipHazard316 I beat it on my ps4 than started another playthrough using a different clan. They also added some kind of rougelike I don't think I tryed it but the game is pretty fun. Toward the end you get to choose rules to add like starting with alot of food the mana of the game maybe summoning certain types of monster do damage to your opponent random stuff like that.

Is there a yugioh or Magic style roguelike as well? Is this coming to console or just pc?
@AboboKnowsАй бұрын
I am not aware of a yugioh roguelike, someone outta make it! For MtG, believe it or not, there was the game back in the early computing days that was very good. It was called 'Shandalar' played a little bit like a roguelike/lite. It was actually quite an amazing game! Give that a look, I'm sure you can find footage on youtube.

What's that? Nintendo suing over an unknown patent? Card frames? What?..
@AboboKnowsАй бұрын
I have heard of such instances in the past. Just look at what happened recently with PalWorld. Ridiculous! Regardless my friend, thanks for checking out the video, I appreciate it!

Not according to Nintendo. Won't be surprised if they try to patent video games so nobody else can make a video game anymore.

the game is clearly very inspired by the pokemon tcg. Not sure why your feelings are so hurt

I'm not gonna lie Isle of Swaps is basically a blend of the pokemon TCG and Steamworld Quest
@AboboKnowsАй бұрын
First off, thanks for checking out the video my friend! As another commenter mentioned, my simple point was that this game is inspired by the Pokemon card game and not that it introduces any sort of revolutionary mechanics or systems. I always appreciate a deckbuilder strong on deckbuilding which this game certainly is. It does what it does very well and I had a blast with it! Thanks again for viewing my friend!
