Instagram is DEAD, e.g. as a photographer I used to love scrolling photos, discovering new photographers etc ... now I can't be bothered because there's far too much fake AI bs out there. It is dead to me and alot more photographers im sure.

agreed.. i loved IG when it first came out. i used it as a photo diary and it really helped me stay motivated on days when i felt a bit down.. it was simply a cute app.. but NOW? ugh .. ever since fb infected it with that 'fb energy' ..it has spiraled and continues to do so . it's a shame that platforms like ello and vero are not more popular as they are more geared toward actual artists. and the user interface is also quite refreshing.. but yeah ig .. it has the monopoly.. i am also a photographer.. 20 years and counting.

Any idea how to ignore this and unmark all (not delete) It’s impossible to check one by one and a lot are not spam! But it’s non stop, it just keeps adding more. I don’t mind getting rid of bots but not real followers and I certainly have not the time to go 1 by 1 😭😭😭😭

Another tip; if you're unsure whether it's a bot or not and they have some pics on the account, check the date of the first post, then check the date of the most recent post. They are usually the same date

Hi there - Hooters account here - 125K followers - got this message saying 8,276 followers flagged for review. I removed all of them, most looked like bots, THE NEXT DAY, it listed another 8,000 flagged for review!! If I do nothing, and toggle off the flag filter - will Instagram eventually remove them? Loved this video! Instagram's new features take a while to really be good. I mean, we're still struggling with the video editor. I'm wondering if you have any advice for accounts that have massive amounts of fake followers. Someone I know used a paid follower service, and now they're looking to get rid of 20K or so followers that are bot accounts. Okay but what if you bought fake followers, then i should probably remove them because i looked and the amount is pretty much exactly the amount bought and its def all fake ones. Also if u tap the 3 dots to the right of the ig user u can select "not a spam account" to help the AI know which are and arent. After you do a couple i think it helps to actually pick the right ones.

YES it is a big no no to IG’s TOS. IG has been known to permanently ban people from the platform. ALSO if you see ad from a company called Path Social where they sell you on the idea of growing your profile. All it is is another bot attack to your profile. Don’t fall for it.

Thanks for sharing this. Question: I know someone that bought +150k followers, a verified badge and gets instant 25k likes on every post but barely has any comments. This individual works with me and recently said I must add his account as a collaborator for a certain post that I made for the company we both work for. Now here with the question: Does this look bad on the companies profile, will this negatively impact the companies profile in any way, should I remove the account as a collaborator? I don`t stand for bots and fake followers or fake engagement but my hands are tied with this one. Any advice?

I don’t think the actions of a collaborator will impact your account. That doesn’t mean their reputation/actions won’t affect you by association but I think you’re asking if the way they build their following affects your account as a collaborator and I’m almost certain it doesn’t.
