This fan game is something straight out of my dreams, as it has phenomenal sprite work, incredible music, and feels authentically Nintendo (even though it's not)! About Super Mario & the Rainbow Stars: One day, the Mario Bros were hanging out near their house until they suddenly received a letter from Peach. They've been invited for the Star Festival! Before that festival starts, they're planning to take a trip with a hot air balloon. Things turn out for the worse once something goes wrong...
Everyone gets scattered, and now it's up to Mario to find his friends, as well as retrieve the Rainbow Stars, which were scattered by the newly awakened Starnox. Mario must get these Rainbow Stars, otherwise the plan of plunging the world into darkness might succeed... Thankfully Mario will be accompanied by many different partners alongside his journey.
From a star kid to a ghostly spirit, and from a blooper pirate to the dark star itself, safe to say Mario will encounter many unique friends and foes on his adventure! This adventure will take you through the archipelago where Yoshis reside, an abstract forest inhabited by many different ghosts, a sky island which holds all 4 seasons at once and more!

I love the cute little details of the life bar. The heart wearing a snorkel when he went into the underwater level and changing to the frog suit icon. This game is just so well done in top of being adorable and aesthetically so pretty.

I love that kind of details. Reminds me a bit of Blizzard in some games, like OW with certain skins. That’s why I love Mario Party 2 as well! If you playing on the Wild West Board you are dressed like a cowboy. Only Mario Party where your outfit matches the play board.

Honestly, this feels like an official Nintendo game, and I sincerely hope Nintendo will take notice of this, and hire the entire team to either recreate or even create a brand new Super Mario game in the same style as this one. The difficulty seems to be on kiddie level. But then again it is yhe first world. Man the attention to detail in this game is superb! I absolutely loved the weather change from sunny to gloomy to rainy. Cant wait to see snowy and volcano like levels. Maybe desert or windy ones aswell. Who knows. All i know is we need a version of this gor people with hacked switches. Although this is in the very early stages of development, overall it has the potential to be top 3 greatest mario game of all time.

You missed a secret in 1-3. If you go all the way to the right in the beginning and climb up, the pirate goomba is taking a nap and you can bop him. It doesn't do anything, but I wonder if it changes some dialogue later in the game.

I think the reason for the difficulty not being that hard is because those games are not built with more experienced players in mind but instead with either new ones or kids who are not going to be fast at picking up stuff. I speak from experience where it took me a long time and several different games before I could play at a level I would call competent (I do not want to think about how long it took me to get out of the 'use starter only' for Pokemon)

this game is absolutely awesome!!!!! I just wish that we could get it working on a Mac computer. the instructions that they give doesn't work yet as myself and several other people are having the same issues getting it to load. I hope that they are able to get that issue resolved because I would absolutely love to play this!! thank you DGR for finding this game and helping get the word out about it because this is the type of game that Nintendo should be designing!! they need to stop going after all these creators and such and realize that these fan games are in honor and tribute to what they have created and they need to celebrate these game creators! I hope that Nintendo does not go after the people that created this game and I hope that they take inspiration from it and or whatever to make future Mario games.
