My favorite thing about Memento. Super Poly doesn't do jack shit against Combined Creation. It's EARTH. While pretty much the rest of the dark is Light and Dark, and they're all different Types.

Because the deck is really to play it's like branded before gimm lock , the deck design is perfect and it gets better with time, like with Conqueror and Sheep. You will find funny things that happen as well. The combo is not linear. The design of the deck is 10/10.

The deck getting that fusion card next set is genuinely crazy. It’s a one card creation that sets up a long grind game if you can’t otk. The issue that we’ll run into a lot with memento is it’s super time consuming to play so many times you either win game one in time or you draw because of time.

Okay I'm fully embracing my noob status here and asking the public: genuinely can someone explain to me what makes Memento good. I've read all the cards and don't get what it's supposed to do. It seems to spin its wheels summoning and popping each other, makes Combined Creation, who special summons a Memento at quick speed. But the only memento card that has interaction on summon is Dark Blade because the other two monsters that have interaction have to be discarded? So what's the point of Combined summoning at Spell Speed 2? I just really don't understand what the deck does and since this isn't a dedicated deck guide, just a fun compilation of games, Joseph understandably doesn't do much to actually explain the plays he's making. The deck seems really cool and I've been wanting something to get me excited to play Master Duel again but I genuinely can't grasp how this deck is supposed to do anything besides summoning a big boi to attack with.

you're supposed to end on combined creation, cranium burst set by the field spell after you foolish it with goblin(trap that gives combined creation -1000 atk/def to negate the effect of a monster activating on field, so up to 5 times), and i:p masquerena(optionally elf if you do that line), plus whatever other sets you can get(eg memento fusion can make guardian chimera if you have an extra you didn't use in the combo). the reason for creation summoning something back is you bring back angwitch to search mace again from deck; mace has a quick effect to discard itself and steal an opponent's monster until the end phase. combined with i:p, you get to link off the ip plus whatever you stole into s:p little knight, essentially being 3 disruptions(snatch steal + 2 from the sp banishes).

Comparing Spright and Tear is very far different. Spright really pay a cost for their disruption effects to make their effect balance. While Tear, they always at least +1 after they use their disruption, unless you play very stupid.
