My primary modes of transportation are walking, driving, and light rail. If I can walk double the distance in a single day on my urban hikes, it will be worth it. I usually power walk 10 miles in a single day at 4.5 mph speed, but I would love to travel 20 miles at something like 5.5 mph speed in a single day.

Is there an automatic mode that varies assistance and resistance based on inclines? Like an automatic gear shift. If not there should be. Also, you could reverse engineer the app and use their API to control it. I'd use this with a VR/MR app to toggle resistance on when walking through liquid and toggle it off when walking out of it. It's rare that we get kinesthetic haptics in a relatively affordable consumer device. Edit: something else I just thought of, people that have trouble getting out of chairs like my aunt that uses a motorized chair can probably use this or something like it soon to help get up. Motorized chairs are a couple grand and can't be taken with you everywhere.

The other area of people who this might help are people who spend all day on their feet, pharmacists, nurses, working on construction, working on an assembly line where you spend a lot of time on your feet, waitress/waiter, cook, worker at car wash, hair cutter/dresser, walking mailman and there are many more physical jobs where this may help. A modified version of this would likely help workers who spend all their time on their feet, what they really need is not walking aid but assistance in "sitting" while standing to get the weight off their feet since they stand all day. If a modified version were created where they could rest while standing, a thousand dollars wouldn't be much if it took away the stress of standing on their feet all day. The idea would be to rest while standing and immediate walking assistance if they need to move around from point A to point B.

@@StephenJReid there's a big band version of the song .. I bring it everywhere . I call it my moose song , it's like power assist in your head . Fascinating tech .. looks intriguing. Almost rehabilitation hardware . It's a beginning of something incredible . ❤️❤️ The possibilities are endless . Flight suits ..

This is great for someone with bad knees!

Only $500, that's cheaper than a ps5 pro... joking aside you mentioned it performs _like_ an e-bike. Can you use it _with_ an e-bike for cycling gains? I can see people who stand on their feet or walk a lot in their work using this. Not to mention people who need assistance with walking.

I was hoping it would come with a built in speaker to play the Six Million Dollar Man jumping sound effect when ever you jumped! I want to put one under clothing and see the looks on peoples faces when I run as fast as I can! What's the range of motion for sideways motion of your legs? This could be great for all sorts of training, like resistance for jumping, or for martial arts kicks. Would these work in combination with an e-bike?! Have to admit, $1000 was far less than I thought you were going to say. I was expecting more like $2-3k for such a new technology.

Haha, sailing past people. It won't make you run ridiculously fast as I think that would probably be bad for your joints 🤣 But definitely gives you quite the boost. It has a side hinge so I didn't really feel it restricted my range of motion at all. Yeah can be use on a bike although not specifically designed with that in mind.

The Dnsys X1 can currently use its motors to play music. We have prepared a demo which you can view on our homepage(LAB TESTING & DEMO). In the future, we will also provide functionality to edit custom music scores through an app :) The Dnsys X1's leg lateral movement range extends from +90 degrees to -90 degrees, fully covering all possible motion ranges. The X1 can also be used with an ebike; you just need to activate the assistance for normal riding. We plan to make the exoskeleton affordable for everyone so that all can benefit from this technology.😀

I need one of these for my right ankle, which is arthritic and weaker than the rest of my legs.

how was it on the ankles and knees? could you over exert those joints??
@StephenJReid8 ай бұрын
Good question. I didn’t have any problems myself. I feel that with the hips assisted there’s a bit of a knock on benefit to the other joints. That was my perception anyway

Resistance mode would be great for walking down the hills and mountains.

Maybe I missed it but would resistance mode also lighten strain on your muscles during descend?
