@@StezStixFix Sorry on the double post I messed up a bit as I'm not the greatest with KZbin lol. Love your channel though as you are very enjoyable to listen to and watch solder as well!! I have a question : do you take requests if someone had a console and the parts and wanted you to do an upgrade or mod? I have a few consoles here but I had one in particular where I have an og xbox and was hoping to do a cap replacement as some are bulging but I suck horribly at soldering lol. So I was curious if I could send to you to do for a Future episode? If so let me know and we and can chat and thanks for your time mate!!

I have watched so many of your videos now, I find them absolutely brilliant. I had a Nest Cam with a broken micro-USB port, came away from the board. Sat there for a year or so, with a view to one day fix it. After watching your videos, I got myself a microscope and a decent solder iron set, and copied what I have watched you do so many times. The nest cam powered up last night, and I am super chuffed. Thank you so much for your content, my only wish is that you could bring videos out faster, because I cannot get enough of them.

Nothing is more satisfying to me than giving a dead a given up on console/game a new life. About two years ago i found a Nintendo DS in the dumpster. Good job, Steve. If you wanted to do a solder blob I would recommend not using the flux, that would make it easier to bridge the solder from the connector pin to the via. With the flux in the mix, it's going to be virtually impossible for solder to connect.

New subscriber, here. I'm very much enjoying these videos. I find it interesting to see your process of figuring things out and increase your skills along the way. I looked to see if you'd done anything with my favorite console, Sega Saturn, at any point, but was saddened to learn that you hadn't had any come up. I've avoided fixing my power problem with mine for a couple of years now, but it appears that there is a good kit from the UK that does the job (which is also used widely here in the US). I'm just too chicken to do it, so I'll probably just sell my setup on eBay. Continuing to cull through your library of videos and haven't found a dud yet!
